Currently, I have not seen any altcoins that have enough potential to replace bitcoin. To me, Bitcoin is still king in the next few years. The market wants to develop the value of Bitcoin must increase, so to replace Bitcoin is too difficult. The influence of Bitcoin is so great, so we should not think about it too soon.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

According to me, Bitcoin is still king of cryptocurrency and bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in the world and it has already created its own value. Bitcoin is known almost all over the world and bitcoin itself has nearly 50% market share of the whole crypto market.

The new king will be a long time old king. Leadership does not depend on technology or prospects, but on the decision of large investors.

Which currency will be the new king in the electronic money market. It is hard to predict because the market is so diverse and rich, there are lots of valuable and invested coins. There are BTC and ETH are competing in the market. I think one of the two coins will win.

I bet it will be infrastructure blockchain 4.0 project. There are some of them like Pchain, Seele, Quarkchain, but I don't know yet, what is going to be a king.
It is really hard to predict, there are plenty of conditions must happen to ovecome BTC.

The next king,?will be BTC, the King in BTC and future king will still be BTC,one thing for certain is that the other coins have failed to match up the expectations and mount a serious challage on Bitcoin. If this doesn't change then BTC  Will stay uptop

Btc this is what I think still on top of all crypto. As the king and as the top amongst coins since their has many users and who support at this time. I am certain it will going up and reach the price as expected by many who knows since price has the volatility.

I don't think that we can have a new king of cryptocurrency. For me always it will be bitcoin, with 10-15x higher value than etherum, so it's not possible to have a new king, like eth.

Now the mainstream currency, BTC-ETH, has the upper hand, and they have the strength and technology, but the future is likely to be a new project to replace them more mature and more comprehensive. What do you think it would be?

To me, I have always see Bitcoin as the King of all Cryptocurrencies and for sure it is. I have not see any Crypto is for now that will replace them. Maybe some day but not for now.

As what i have seen right now,  btc and eth are still be on the top. Yes there are so many projects right mow have been made everyday with a good concept. But there are no capabilities and lack of resources to be one of coins in the top like btc and eth.

I think NEO and EOS are really good candidates right now, they both have great platforms in a reliable team behind, so that gives a lot of credibility to them, however, I think that it will take a long time for them to develop like it should be to compete with the mainstream cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin is king of crypto currency and it will not let any other coin to overtake it. Bitcoin has set it's standard and worth which no other coin can fulfill. Of Bitcoin is removed from its current position , crypto market will start going to end very soon.

You did not mention what this new project name is or is it now existing, we have no idea what project or algorithm it would be but it should be open source and decentralized, because this is how cryptocurrency works, so far anything that we can think of on any cryptocurrency are already here, we just need to improve it.

I think the two coins (btc and eth) have already been firmly rooted, so to replace them seems not an easy matter, for that we don't have to bother discussing new coins that will replace them.

I think the reason Bitcoin and Ethereum can take advantage is because all newly listed altcoins are based on their trading platform for ICO. So that's why Bitcoin and Ethereum are so high and so popular.

Ethereum has a different method for costing transactions depeding on their computational complexity, bandwidth use and storage needs. Bitcoin transactions compete equally with each other, this is called Gas in Ethereum and is limited per block whilst in Bitcoin, it is limited by the block size. Ethereum has its own Turin complete internal code...a Turing complete code means that given enough computing power and enough time... anything can calculated. with Bitcoin, there is not this form of flexibility.

That is not likely, there is not a single coin that is better than bitcoin, there are some coins that are offering different capabilities, coins like monero offer true privacy but at the cost of scalability, so no other coin can rival bitcoin not even ethereum and people will have to accept that fact and move on.

as technology advances day by day, it will become more sophisticated. currently BTC and ETH are at the highest point of cryptocurrency. it takes quite a long time and also modern technology if you want to pass both. and it's not easy for altcoins. we look forward to what will happen in the future. but currently BTC remains the best and is still king.
