Who will be the new king

I am sure that ETH has all chances for the becoming a king in the future but to be honest BTC will not give a chance for it at all. This cryptocurrency is too strong to lose for the alt coin in the some way. I believe that something will replace BTC here and unfortunately it will not be done in the nearest time.

I still see that bitcoin will still be king, but competition between xrp and eth is very interesting to follow, I think xrp has a very strong chance to strengthen its position as the second best

Bitcoin will still be the king since ripple has too many amount of supply and due to it, it won't get such a demand higher than bitcoin. But if ripple reach $1 then it would surpass bitcoin but the time ripple reaches that value, the bitcoin will also increase. Why it will increase? Since people want a decentralized coin and they won't let the ripple be on the top. The reason why we are interested on bitcoin due to its feature that is decentralized. If we let a centralized coin rule the marketcap then I think it would be looking bad.

I think ripple will be the new king because you can see latest price movements of ripple. Ripple moving like a coin which have his own freedom. I think in the future ripple will start to move differently than general crypto space . Because there are too many banks and backers  and they are holding ripple and buying more and more. The new king is unknown for now because there are some coins in top 5 that has the potential to overtake the dominant crypto. The power tussle is still ongoing and I think the next king has not been determined.

Who knows! I think the current market is screening out bad products and we will soon see some equally good coins emerge from all this scam and failure. I can totally imagine some coin being better than ETH, for example.

Bitcoin is still the king. There is no doubt that ETH is still the most commonly used altcoin on the ICO market, even if it has fallen to third place, but this does not affect its sales!
