I think bitcoin will still be the king but the new king for alternate coins will be Ripple. It actually dethroned ETH but its a matter of keeping its rank. If ETH happens to dethrone it again, I don't think it should be considered the KING of alts. However, if they manage to do that, it would be great to hodl their coin long term.

Updates in the next year can lure new investors, then ETH will return its place, I think that ETH is a true king.

In such a market, the updated will be able to increase the value of the coin only in the short term.Long-term growth requires fundamental changes in the entire cryptocurrency industry.

Those who wants to beat bitcoin as at the top currency could start a good impression with the bearish market and it seems nothing has the potential to be the next top currency because all currency has been affected will the fall of bitcoin. I think no existing currency can beat bitcoin.

In my opinion, what will happen in the future is that the competition between crypto currencies will be even tighter because crypto currencies will compete for positions to become the main coins that are in the public interest. Indeed, now the most visible competition for becoming a king of crypto currencies is between bitcoin and ethereum. Both of these coins have very active movements in the market. For the short term, I still believe that bitcoin remains the king of crypto currencies but for the long term ethereum will become the king of crypto currencies. Technologically, ethereum is more powerful than bitcoin but the popularity of bitcoin is still very high. Public trust in bitcoin is also still very high so that in the short term, it is still potential to hold control of the crypto currency market. But I am sure that when bitcoin is not able to display its technological innovations, bitcoin will be increasingly marginalized. The longer, people will find more benefits than just popularity.

I think these two coins will be the last ones standing in the market if or when it collapses. There is trust of community, and benefits, and future, and perspectives in these coins that should make them leaders for longer time.

BTC is always at the forefront. With its potential and speed it has made it the most attractive currency today. It has become a growing trend among many people in the world. I believe that with the speed of development of today's technology will bring it growing ever more.

XRP now is the second best cryptocurrencies at coinmarketcap list,, and this alt already replacing ethereum
but it doesn't mean if this xrp was better than ethereum mate,, i believe soon or later eth will be back

Bitcoin for me is the strongest one and Eth was just behind bitcoin as of this moment.We speculate often because of the current situation,the bearish market have prolonged enough but i still believes on bitcoins potential and never think that any alts would play the role of a king in the coinmarket capitalization.

I think that the best alternative for BTC could be Litecoin. This coin was also created for a long time ago and has gained a high level of trust from the community as well. Moreover LTC is technically better, much faster and cheaper.
