The king can be the cryptocurrency that will offer the world what is needed: convenience, stability, security and speed. Ethereum very quickly gained popularity, just a couple of years. So why can't someone else?

Exactly, its mostly because Bitcoin is the first coin and because it is trending on all news, sites and so on.. Did you hear any major news in TV mention so much Ethereum or XRP than bitcoin ? Grin
Yes, I very often heard about ETH, but I haven't heard anything about XRP. If I lived in the USA, I think that I would hear something about XRP, so I'm sure that today it is better to invest in cryptocurrency

No one on earth can fool themselves anymore that btc is the future of money. It works worse than almost any money we have. Things are going to be rocky until we can get a changing of the guard.

Not likely BTC will be replaced by any other currency ever as "a king". But if you still interested I'm thinking that Waves, Monero, MGO, NXT and some other currencies I'm holding now might be strong enough to compete for that title  Grin

It is unrealistic to talk about transcendence now. Bitcoin remains the most powerful cryptocurrency. It accounts for more than 52% of the cryptocurrency market value, so no coin can surpass it, and bitcoin is the supreme coin in the next 20 years.

if I ask the bitcoin to be the king and no one can replace it because even though its low price is now the number of investors today as it is still the leader in cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrencies are serious. And I think that in order for something to change in this area, it takes a lot of time. And now it seems unreal to determine the coin that will be close to bitcoin in status

Since all the cryptocurrencies on the market are mainly used for trading profits, they do not contribute to the development of encryption and blockchain, so they still do not have the power to surpass Bitcoin!

Taking into account the keen interest shown by financial regulators towards Ethereum in recent times, I have the impression that Ether will be a growth driver in the near future. Since the Ethereum platform is most suitable for ICO, it is possible that the financial regulators intend to use it to control the distribution of tokens as securities.

Now the mainstream currency, BTC-ETH, has the upper hand, and they have the strength and technology, but the future is likely to be a new project to replace them more mature and more comprehensive. What do you think it would be?
Ripple replaced Ethereum but I do not think any of coins or new project that can replace the position of bicoin in the future because bitcoin is the leader of this market and it seems to be a king of cryptucurrency market, most altcoin prices have to depend on the price of bitcoin, you can easily see it on Coinmarketcap.

but in the future, if there is a  coin that replaces bitcoin, I think it will be a new era of the crypto market.

If a satisfactory profit has been made, profits should be sold. it should not be obsessed with any money. These are important issues for me.

I think and am sure that bitcoin will always be the flagship in the market and it will never be replaced or moved from the first place.

I see the new king of cryptocurrencies only Ethereum and nothing more. It seems to me that this is the cryptocurrency that you can rely on and that can significantly change things

Just as it has always been and which might continue, because presently, no coin has the ability yet to overtake bitcoin. Perhaps if the next 10 years, if cryptocurrency still exists and there is a coin with so much development and much impact.

I think 10 years cryptocurrency market will only go through the thorny path of its development and take its place...most likely there will be a few coins that will be used on a daily basis.

No currency can replace Bitcoin, the new coin wants to appear, unless Bitcoin gives way to itself, otherwise it is so difficult . Even if the potential currency climbs to the peak, it can't shake the position of Bitcoin.

It certainly is the XRP since ETH price dropped down so hard that it's value is 95% less than it's ATH and this is in a span of 10 months.  That's in term of altcoins. But all in all, we know that no one can beat Bitcoin Smiley

It impossible to replace the Bitcoin in the future, if the Bitcoin price drop, all the market drops, if the Bitcoin price increase, all the altcoins price will rise in the same time, so which coins can replace the mothercoins?

Bitcoin will remain the king of all crypto. New tokens can compete with each other to beat one another but Bitcoin will their head. This is my prediction, yours may different from mine.

A lion is always known as King of the jungle, same as bitcoin the king of the market. I think so.
