Hi, I was mining panda all night and then today panda.poolerino.com went offline, the miner on this pc lost its connection with stratum, but the miner on a VPS in Tokyo was still mining for a few hours until I shut it down, because I couldn't see what was going on.

panda.poolerino.com is offline in Australia, the other poolerinos are still ok from the look of it, at least the pages come up.
I clicked the panda-asia  link and it tried to load panda.poolerino.com and failed.

When everyone who thinks current 63 sat price is cheap would invest 0.1btc to buy, we would be at 70-80 in no time again.

Since thats not happening, current price is the right price. Happy I sold everything (the 50% of the IPO i got) at 87 sat Won't buy anything back since I think it will fall to 30-40 satoshi before we might see another pump towards 100 sat.

So how much has vtc gone up? I think vtc Dev  should be happy with the number of rigs now running vertminer. If there is a pump and dump for panda all the excess hash will swing over to vtc

He didn't even copy Verminer and Vertcoin, he just outright re-hosted the exact same miner that the VTC community created (from the CGminer source).  So no innovation there.

As for PANDA coin itself; it looks like, from the code, the ONLY things changed are the way coin quantities are calculated.  So no innovation there either.

PANDA was a fun little mine'n'shine, but I've already moved my rigs back to VTC since PANDA's value is down and the difficulty is up.  It's about on par with VTC in terms of profitability, but it has no real future.  DOGE was a success because it had an immediately recognized theme - something PANDA does not have.  The Chinese may recognize it as "a" panda, but why should they care over the thousands of other panda products in their daily lives?  DOGE was also successful because it's community actually did things.  Reddit and 4chan were major backers of the coin, and the internet gushed over it.

PANDA is a nice little toy of a coin, but VTC is going to become the next-gen crypto currency after Bitcoin and Litecoin; especially once the Scrypt-ASIC miners start smashing Scrypt coins.

And anyone who argues that ASIC manufacturers will simply do XYZ to make their hardware resistant to the Nfactor doesn't understand how ASIC development and manufacturing cycle works.

You're assuming he actually DID ANYTHING to earn that 1B coin, other than rename someone else's code and pay a few people to market it for him.

His specific behavior - producing copy coins solely for the sake of money, and then essentially robbing the supporting community of a significant portion of the currency - is exactly what the crypto community should be denouncing.  He is the foreclosing corporate banker to the crypto community's middle class.
