Hello there! This is a question I have seen many times over and feel it's a question that should be asked with due diligence in mind.
We were all new to crypto once upon a time, and we are still the early adopters in the space for which I am grateful to be a part of with you guys !
Be comfortable with your initial risk, and research research and more research will only help you build confidence in your decision making.
We all make mistakes and we learn from them as I have.
Projects that I believe in will have
1.low circulating supply,
2.great project leaders.
3. Has use case and scalability.
4. Problem solving and a great community.
If I could invest more into the space I would invest in
ADA, xlm, omg, ltc, btc, xrp centralised(huge supply)

I'm very excited and bullish of the future of crypto.

This is not a new thing in the market. We already know that we have had the unending number of people who have lost to ICOs and they regret investing in it. So of course it is not what a newbie should go for in the market because of the huge uncertainties prevailed in the market. Risk attached to investing in ICO, no prospect of obtaining return and high probability of loosing as well. First there is the stock market, the futures market, the forex market which is the biggest market out there and the cryptocurrency market all of which would require a great deal of time to study and analyze since all of these markets are influenced by supply and demand speculation and it is up to you when you where you would want to trade your money. I would suggest that you also check the forex market since you could open an account with a small capital like in cryptocurrency though you would need time to study that market.
