The safest is probably RadarRelay or other DEX's running on 0x, the best are the top 5. And the best mix of both is GDAX. But you also need an exchange that will have pairs available for what you want to trade.

most secure exchanges always decentralized exchanges. examples for decentralized exchanges are fork delta, ether delta and idex. their private key with us.

centralized exchanges always risky , but we have to deal with them , most popular token listed on that.  i prefer binance and gate io

we all need universal power and cyclist of Everything

Looking for best exchange, I would say one is the best but will talk about the one I know and have tried, I think poloniex, bittrex are save to my own understanding because I have used these two and still using them and ever since I got in to crypto I have not heard of them been hack or funds stolen, but people are leaving them to all these new exchange with high volume but I don't think that is enough evidence to trade with high volume is best exchange but you have to look at security wise which is more important to me .

I have tried to sell tokens in the past which resulted in losing all that I had, I need more advice on best Exchanges for mostly all altcoins and how safer they are to use?
i do recommend you to use okex, binance, kucoin and bitfinex. All of them are top exchange i do think its safer to trade in top exchange cause they got high volume and seems like mkre trusted rather than small exchange. Its really recommend to not store your coin on exchange, its better to safe it on hard wallet or on other wallet.

I only use binance and bittrex. Small trading platforms are often more dangerous so I do not use them

I think Binance and Huobi is best crypto exchanges because they selective to listed any coin.  They will listed coin that has strong team and has great fundamental. They also has highest daily volume so make easy to trade with best liquidity.
These two exchanges have very good competitive rates and there are a lot of strategies to attract their new investors and these are also two exchanges that help me make the best profit ever since the block. The trading volume of these two exchanges is always in the top 5 of the coinmarketcap and I advise people to use only two exchanges in the future.

For tokens, it's hard to find the best exchanges because your token isn't always listed on exchanges. For normal trading, I recommend Binance and Huobi (cheap fee, fast, safe,...).

in my view, if many exchanges are available to buy crypto coins and trades, Bittrex, Bitfinex, Kucoin etc. is the best, if you choose the first exchange you check there is a security option, if there is a high cost also many security options will be available, there are many new exchanges also there, more coins are also available to trade.

If you want more safety, you'd better choose decentralized exchanges. You have a private personal key, but it also has a defect, that is when have problem, will no one solve this for you

To analyze the security of any cryptocurrency, you should first understand what this coin depends on to survive? (Product) The cryptocurrency without any demand will eventually die!

That's right, I see that if we are talking about the security, a decentralized exchange is the most promising option out there although I honestly think that these decentralized exchanges doesn't fully decentralized as what it is promised but there's no need to give any credentials data like passport and such.
But, the only pain in the ass for using such service is the fact that people are rarely interested to trade there, as a result, a quite low volume transaction and really high price volatility.

those who ask for passport and any other important details do have a kyc . kyc is now verry popular these days and most online exchanges and ico's are now already implementing it in order to avoid cheaters or multi accounts that join thier company .

etherdelta on the other hand is indeed best when it comes to token and altcoin trades because it suports all kinds . and i think their volume isnt low at all because many users are still using etherdelta nowadays .

but ed is not safe because it has many phishing sites that copies it . many people have also reported to got phished .
