the problem with community-driven project is how long are you gonna wait for the final decision?
how are you going to assess that okay, we got the final decision already. enough of these suggestions, etc...
once we decide as a team that there are enough members to the community we will hold a final vote containing of the suggestions that have been put forward. It has not yet been decided how many community members we will need before the first vote
you can assess how many users will actively participate on your project at your first poll. if something happens fast here, they might invite others. you know, word of mouth is one of the best marketing out there.
yeah thats the idea, we currently have a poll running on discord containing the different methods of voting the community would like to use in the future. Not only is it to find out the answer but to decide when we have enough members to get some valid results
You might overestimate the tendency of people in regards to their willingness to make decisions. Some don't even upgrade their clients for years even though they should. Most just want to buy, hold and sell for a profit. It is sad but I fear it's true.
You bring up a great point. I wouldn't say that we overestimate it though. I know it'll be a big challenge but I feel that if we can build a strong community and attract the right type of people that we can do something special here. A majority of people probably do fall into the category you described but there are still decision makers and difference makers out there. Now it's up to us to find them.
And there will still always be a place in our community for miners/investors that just want to buy/sell/hold quietly in the background
