I've been watching this exchange since it launched. I haven't registered or used the exchange as of yet. What puts me off about the site is that I'VE HEARD that the withdraw rates are pretty high...

Thank you for actively following our development. This has been addressed earlier and since today we changed our withdraw rates to a fix amount, similar as cryptsy. BTC withdrawal fee: 0.0005 LTC withdrawal fee: 0.005

Sorry if I'm asking questions that I can find on the site myself, just want to hear from people themselves.

The withdrawal fee used to be 0.1% for all coins. It was requested to lower them for BTC and LTC and we did so. All other than BTC/LTC are still at 0.1%.

Ok, swisscex looks great. And you have cool charts, unlike some crappy exchanges Also, the site is fast. Might as well use it instead of other exchanges if there will be coins that i'm interested to trade

Could you be so kind and address the coins you would like either in the announcement thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=443205.0 or using the vote function of our website https://www.swisscex.com/support.

We are currently in the process of purchasing another server for our website!
This is to ensure the transaction speed of the deposits and withdrawals in the future.

Your site still doesn't show any legal information (imprint). That will for sure keep people with bigger amounts away. Nobody will transfer 20-30 btc without knowing who are the people behind that site and where the company is exactly located (full address).
Give me one good reason why this hasn't been done right from the beginning.
Cheers

By the end of today we should know how to proceeed in this regard. The reason why did not do it earlier is because we want to choose a proper form of organization and we are going to have a meeting with a lawyer about this topic today. Probably you are not aware about the Swiss law but for example a GmbH (similar as an Ltd.) costs CHF 20'000 to set up ($22'000), therefore we carefully evaluate our options. At least an "about us" will follow very shortly.

As soon as I send my first BTC deposit to swisscex, I start getting "504 Gateway Time-out" and the data on the market page won't load. Murphy's Law, I suppose??

We improved the security of our registration procedure. Meaning that users have to confirm the sign up by e-mail from now on. The login issue might be related to this change. I will pass this request to the developer to fix it. Please do not worry about your coins - they are save. Thank you for your understanding edit: fixed

Will you be making the buy/sell columns scrollable? Right now you can only see the top 10 orders for each. Would also be good to see any open (with options to cancel) or past orders you have placed listed on each respective currency pair page, like what cryptsy and coins-e have. That way you don't have to jump back to the "Open Orders" and "Transactions" pages (which I think you should keep) to remind yourself of your activities. The charts look great, thanks for those.

Thanks for your feedback. We were thinking of changing the amount of open orders from 10 to 20, from a technical perspective this is not a problem. We might also add an extra table where you can see a history of your completed trades within the trade window. Please, if you add 2 factor authentication add a option to choose authy instead of email Can you please be more specific? Not quite sure if I understand it correctly. We already use 2FA for logins, which is already very secure.

More features have been added!
1. You can now see your total portfolio balances in each main currency (BTC, LTC, DOGE, and XPM) 2. Balances on the left side can be clicked which than shows all available markets for the coin
Please let us know how you like it!

We are in the progress of reducing the withdrawal fees for each coin.
Most of the coins are going to have static withdrawal fees going forward.
E.g Dogecoin = 1 DOGE withdrawal fee
