Find something you love about your current life.
Imagine staying out at night with friends, and sleeping into the afternoon. Imagine the peaceful tranquility of being at home with little to do and nothing but a sense of pure relaxation. Imagine being free with your worries and carefree about what the future may bring...
Now picture a little crying child that is soiling himself with grown-man shits four times a day making more messes than you can imagine and demanding way more work and dedication than you have been required of in your entire life. In a year or so he will grow into a whiny brat with no attention span who forces his wild, rampant energy upon everyone that surrounds him.
It's a long and sometimes painful journey, my friend, but when you look into his eyes and he tells you "I love you" you won't give a shit about anything else in the world.
-Proud father of a three-year-old future menace to society
Thank you. Puts a lot in perspective.

WOW! name him Doge
This dude names his son "Dogecoin" as the first name, I throw in 5 BTCs, but he has to prove it is legally his name. Not happening, even for 500 btc. Nope. No way. Never What would be so bad? You can always change his name. You could take the coins and use them as a trustfund for the kid. I doubt gweedo is serious though.

My friend just had a baby on the 10th and they only just decided his name today so they wont've officially named him yet, and he's the type of guy that will do stupid shit for coin. Would you be willing to put that money is escrow?

HaHa, I talked to wife about it, and she said she would agree, but it would be a higher number. Pretty sure he can overcome a name, if he is set up for college from birth. I highly doubt the right number to name him Dogecoin would be reached though lol

Then why not do it, claim the prize, and change the name later on, or he can change it himself as an adult. I know a lot of people who are just known by their nicknames among friends, I've met some of them several times and don't even know their real names. I wish my parents were offered 500 BTC to name me Dogecoin

I explain it to you, if this dude named his baby "Dogecoin" people would pick up on that namely the press. Not only would I get a ton of press for being the person that paid, and promotions of my sites. And while you are probably saying 5BTC is a lot for press but it is different kind of press. They aren't looking at it as an ad but as a I did something crazy, and would drive more traffic. I'm aware of that. That doesn't mean you'd seriously pay the money. Why does it matter if you pay it to this guy then or somebody else?

If he chose to change name as an adult, thats his choice, but if I entered an agreement, why would I renig on it? Half a million isnt the amount we were thinking. But it was more than 5btc worth.

How is it stealing? The offer is to officially name the baby, which you would be doing unless any terms said otherwise.

Why does it matter if you pay it to this guy then or somebody else? Why I am an honest person and never scammed anyone here. If I am offering then I am willing to pay. 5 BTCs aren't that expensive to me, but not to bragging. The reason I wanted to pay this guy and not your friend cause this is just a random act, I rather keep it that. The reason probably is you decided you don't want to run the risk of losing 5BTC, but nice try . If five BTCs aren't expensive and the media coverage is worth it to you, why does it matter who does it? I'm sure if this guy would've been serious about it you'd've weaselled out of that too, but I guess we'll never know, unless the OP decides to take you up on the offer. How about it, op? You can always change the babies name after a month I'm sure.

Anyday now, I will finally have my first born son. Exciting! Any recent dads out there, and if so, any tips? I am excited, but worried about the future. Trying to get a promotion at work, to make sure he never goes without.
NOT A DONATION THREAD, just asking for tips in life, not btc or anything else.

Do what my father did to me.
As soon as we got back from the hospital (I was literally just born a few days before), he took me straight to his computer. I obviously can't remember this, but my siblings said they remembered when he told me what a computer did, what a mouse was, and stuff like that.
Geezus I'm still such a nerd.
But it paid off.
