I do not think that facebook is buying bitcoin. Mark might be buying his own money but it is nearly impossible for facebook.

And the second option is that they make their own currency that has been previously rumoured by some media. Actually, if this happens it will give a good effect on the BTC price increase.

If Facebook ever comes up with its own currency or token, I don't see how it will positively affect Bitcoin. It might just as well be an integrated currency that only works within Facebook's ecosystem. I can totally see them try to promote it like that, and why wouldn't they? Billions of people around the world have the Facebook app installed, which is enough for people to transact with each other instantly. Facebook has the mass behind it, which is pretty impressive, and they managed to keep growing even after all the scandals they went through. Whatever they end up doing with their coin or token, it will be a success for sure....

I don't have idea about what Facebook , is doing.. ?
Then why are you commenting about it in a language you obviously have no idea how to use?

It's crazy how Facebook exploded.  Their stock tanked shortly after their IPO, and I wouldn't consider buying it (doesn't pay a dividend and probably never will), but it's gone up a lot since then.  I'm sure that accounts for a good part of MZ's wealth.  I just never understood the maniacal appeal of the service they offer.  But they're a pure tech company, and I'd say it's about time they embraced crypto.

From what I've read on bitcointalk, it's not bitcoin they're talking about but their own coin, but I think even if that's the case it'll still be good for bitcoin, since it gets people involved in cryptocurrency.  Once people learn the value of cryptocurrency in general, they'll see how dominant bitcoin really is.
The service they offer is very good for advertisers but it may hurt privacy of members. It's good for advertisers because the targeting of advertisements are high-tech like you've said (Quick example, when I started getting interested in cryptocurrency even if I never do any activity related to cryptocurrency inside facebook itself,I started getting ONLY advertisements about cryptocurrency). It does sound good but if we think behind the scenes...That means facebook stalks every single user activity even outside it's plateform...? Huh Embarrassed Scarry.

Here is the thing with business, they're not going to accept a new payment method and go through all the motions of setting it up unless it's going to profit them. At this point in the game, Zuckerberg and the rest of the corporate structure at Facebook doesn't really care about the tech anymore -- they're all in it for maximizing the amount of money that they can make. If bitcoin is going to lead to them making a few more million dollars a year in advertising revenue / whatever revenue they make it in. Then they're going to do it.

If it's not going to help them at all, they're not going to accept Bitcoin. That's just the simple way of laying it out.

This is categorically false and you don't know what you're talking about. Zuckerberg only cares about the tech, he doesn't care about the money. He only monetizes the platform because it's necessary to fund the further development of the technology. He's obsessed with shrinking the world through technology and is rather zealous in his belief that Facebook makes the world better be connecting the world on a single platform. This is his sole driving force, and it's all about the tech. He's actually taken quite a bit of flack from investors for not being "Wall Street friendly" and not making driving profitability the sole focus as CEO. The only thing you're right about is they're nowhere close to adopting Bitcoin, and I'm rather doubtful they ever will.

When he banned the crypto adverts the whole market experienced a bad situation and uncertainity and for sure if a such company make payments in crypto the confidence on market would skyrocket.

Facebook banishment of crypto advertisement didn't matter at all.Simply because 90% of the advertisements were scam pozis/hyips/doublers (especially after the bitconnect fiasco).I still see some adverts related to cryptocurrecy mainly ICOs that looks legit,so yeah it's more a process of filtering than a banishment.

If this resource began to use bitcoin, its cost would have increased significantly. Many users would come to cryptocurrencies.

that was a high decision for facebook to joining in crypto investment, but well mark is a open minded people and take a step double from other people, so if they are trying to put in any stuff in the btc, they moving progress underground and make it all silent after all
Well in my opinion, Mark does not need to earn in Bitcoin and has already achieved great wealth but his intention to step in to Bitcoin is just to promote the crypto and to let the people know the hidden facts about Bitcoin that common people do not know. Facebook is an easy way and people all over the world are using it so this will in fact spread and advertise Bitcoin and the demand will rise for the crypto.

BTC ON facebook is not a good idea the unssure price of BTC are stake if it were to be implemented Facebook will probably go down considering the unsure price they may lose their money in a matter of seconds and a company might lose even a penny isn't a big deal but if facebook is on the line were talking about millions if milions can be spared then lurkers will grab that chance to sell their money leaving facebook a big loser.

From what I've read in the forum I think that Facebook and the team aren't joining BTC, but only to explore the world of crypto, they focused more on Blockchain to be specific, but as far as I know Facebook is not joining BTC, but it is a much better idea rather than making their own cryptocurrency right? And again I haven't seen any actual proof/evidence that FACEBOOK is joining BTC.

Facebook has the mass behind it, which is pretty impressive, and they managed to keep growing even after all the scandals they went through.
It's quite funny actually, everything that Facebook had to endure this year was said to cost them at least 10-20% of its market cap, but the only thing that happened was that it became way stronger than ever before.

It's currently hovering around its all time high levels, and for all the institutions and other parties that shorted Facebook, they can pay the difference including leverage to the platform they settled their bets on.

Facebook owns the perfect formula and is extremely powerful. I do believe that from all the tech stocks, Facebook and Google are the ones with the best possible outlooks, and they could technically help crypto as well.

They are trying to connect more and more people in remote areas to the internet with satellites and balloons, which instantly increases crypto's potential as well. Great developments to look forward to.

Is this a good time for Facebook to try new kinds of stuff. Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg has become the world's third richest man in the world and he has achieved all that just because of technology and a right idea, So do you guys think he will now at least think about experimenting to take bitcoin as a payment method in facebook. I think that will surely change a lot of people's mind around the world and they can freely put some money on facebook business.
I doubt it will happen. There's not much demand for those things right now. Besides, it's not like Facebook accept a lot of payment AFAIK. They only receive money for ads payment, right? It would be a different story if Amazon accept Bitcoin because thousands of transactions are made in Amazon every day.

In my opinion I don't think Mark will end up integrating blockchain into his masterpiece at this point. Not unless he himself believes in this growing technology in the future. But most likely maybe it would be an exclusive fb altcoin and not bitcoin. But in my piece of thought, with the success of his niche, monetizing thru blockchain is already greed. The business connections he made, those payed ad circulations, and marketplace inside already enough to support his platform for many more years. Breaking beyond the peak would definitely bring him to fall, it won't happen this guy is a genius.

Still here, always online and watching..

for me this is very good news, when facebook provides opportunities and opportunities on the penguna crypto especially bitcoin, and certainly the chance and opportunities bitcoin will be greater when able to collaboration with facebook, and when it is true the facebook back up the rating of social media applications as well

Well, if even facebook is now joining bitcoin that is a clear implication that bitcoin is spreading largely.  This could then help other people have ideas about cryptocurrecny using the FBI application knowing the fact that it is widely used by human beings around the globe.

The only ones who will of course benefit this move are the ones using Facebook as a advertisement place. We as free users of Facebook who are the ones viewing the ads are not affected which such implementation. But from what I know this ad buyers are now comfortable with the payment options they have however nothing will hurt if Facebook decided to add more kinds of payment option in their system.

I think facebook didn't join bitcoin. Where do you get that information? As what I have known, Facebook banned cryptocurrency related post because many people use it as a scheme.

Yeah I've also heard about that in some crypto Facebook group, i don't know if that is true or not, if that's true well it's good for us Facebook users,  maybe we will have a Facebook merchandise in the future and the mode of payment is Bitcoin or other crypto.
