Sounds like a trustworthy exchange to me if they are notifying their users well in advance about up coming changes.

Bittrex trying hard to recover its reputation. They lost the No 1 position while ago because of the messed up created by their team. Check out the Trust summary & reference link for richiela. These users know the forum and left feedback. There are thousand of Bittrex users who maybe don't know about Bitcointalk & still complaining about  Bittrex on Twitter Reddit & other social media platforms.

Even I was about to lose .04BTC because suddenly they blocked withdraw without KYC. Imagine You're using Bittrex for years and all of a sudden they locked your funds and never returns your money along with no replies from Support. Why they are providing good services to customers now? Because they have lost over 80% of customers to Binance. They won't exist if they keep doing horrible judgments with users.

I am not aware of that, thanks for that info, all the while I thought they are a reputable site because I never face any problem with them for years of using the site. Maybe I was just lucky that I didn't store money in the site, I am just using them for quick trading and withdraw right away.
They do require the KYC and so I comply and until now I'm still confident with the site, however in terms of ranking, I think it's hard for them to get back to the top position, Binance already have been very consistent with their volume.

I read some of the posts related to 2017. I had no idea Bittrex has so many issues. To be honest I am surprised.

Have there been any issues in recent times, say going back to the previous 12 months?

Have there been any issues in recent times, say going back to the previous 12 months?

Recent issues with Bittrex are Two Types.

IEO: They listed IEO's Which had bad reputation in the past. But the team members from the IEO's are too close to Bittrex Core Team Members. Such a bad price & all the Team members from these IEO projects dumped their bags and as a result, Bittrex lost more customers. If you check Bittrex has only a few Coins that have a volume over 100BTC.This indicates that Bittrex is falling so hard. Bittrex is the only exchange none of their IEO's were successful.

Token Listing: Token listing policy of Bittrex changed a lot. If you have a good whitepaper and a team with lot of money and connection with Bittex CEO You can list your tokens easily. In the past, we saw Bittrex listing policy was great. That caused them losing customers as well.

Though I know that we're in a bear market as well. IEO's price 40% down in the first hour is fishy.

That unexpected KYC requirement was the major reason for Bittrex's downfall; they didn't alarm before going for the enforcement of KYC. Only those who proceeded with the KYC and provided all the required information were able to continue using their services.

I just received a third notice email and I thought about sharing this for people who might have missed it. You have 3 days left (11th October) before the following coins get removed: BITS, BSD, COVAL, VRM, XMG so you should withdraw them, otherwise, you'll have to pay a fee for Bittrex to retrieve them for you.
That's odd, I didn't get such notification in my inbox. Is it because I don't have any of those that is scheduled to be removed thats why I don't get the notice or its because I didn't request to receive such updates and notices. Its sad that COVAL or Circuits of Value is also included in the coins that will will be removed in Bittrex. COVAL use to perform well.

I didn't receive any such e-mail/notice either.

To be honest if those two are the only reasons users might be concerned or put off from using Bittrex then I see no problem at all if the objective is to send your crypto there, have a trade then withdraw the exchanged crypto back to your desktop wallet.

Obviously the ICO craze has declined, but it's also possible some exchanges are now no longer indifferent to wash trading. Bittrex is one of the exchanges which were supposed to do something about it, along with pump & dumps.

Wow, that's a big number of countries! While Binance is trying to expand its services across the globe, Bittrex seems to be busy in getting scaled-down even further.

About half of them are subject to OFAC sanctions or are FATF monitored jurisdictions. I suppose those are no surprise. For those that aren't, the common thread seems to be "higher risk" AML ratings and lack of EU-whitelist equivalent AML legislation.

The exchanges are going into full compliance mode one by one. Undecided

I tell you.. So weird, isn't it?
I just looked at the list and most of the countries in there are countries that actually need more crypto adoption. What bittrex is doing is the direct opposite of the main goal of cryptos.

They should as well just close down their business.

It was even far from my thought that Bittrex is operating in countries such as Somalia, South Sudan, Afghanistan, and the rest. Thanks for this complete list though. The exchange platform must have received far below minimum market income from these countries. But it is worth noticing that even before removing their operations from the countries on the list, the volume of Bittrex is terribly dwindling down.

As @malevolent said in his previous post, the ICO craze has dwindled down and this provided negative impact to many exchanges that cater different coins. Their volume will obviously get affected by it and thus their profit from it will be diminished significantly. Also, the hands of different government bodies are reaching these exchanges and forcing them to comply with rules.

Based on these happenings, I'm not surprised with what's Bittrex has been doing in the past months. My take on this is that if you are still trading with them, better get all your coins out and do your business elsewhere. The future is not bright for an exchange especially if it's been always hammered down by the government.

It seems the credits are gone. All my open orders with credits were cancelled and I no longer have credits in the account.

Yup, mine too. They've expired. We were supposed to use them all by 22nd October.

Perhaps Bittrex has a change of plans on those credits but its weird that they did not make any announcement about the sudden change of plans or offer any explanations to those who lost their credit. This kind of move of exchanges like Bittrex is the reason why they move or take their business elsewhere. Its like they dont value their client because if they do, they will inform any type of changes in the site to all their clients.
