Hello guys I am Aaron from India, I am civil engineer by profession. I heard so many things about cryptocurencies but have not involved in the investment & trading till date. I want to prepare my self before entering into investment and trading but I want to improve my basics first. I have heard from my friends about bitcointalk forum, BTT forum is great source for leaning so many things about origin of cryptocurrencies, bitcoin, blockchain technology, altcoins, cryptocurency wallets, about basics of trading etc. I am here to explore so many things and improve myself about the cryptoworld. Any kind of suggestions and help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome Smiley Bitcoin talk is a very good place to start indeed

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0

There are many good sites to help orient the market. I use https://coinmarketcap.com/ to look at how the market moves and i like https://www.coingecko.com/en when i look for a exchange that has a certain coin.

For trading advice and such, I would advice you to look around youtube a bit and this forum, but i can give you some fast tips.

1. Use a liquid exchange, a large one, and trusted is also good. ( Binance, Huobi, Kucoin)
2. Do not enter all at 1 point, this leaves you very vulnerable to market drops, but if you have funds left, a drop will give you a better price average.
3. Avoid news from the world bank and bank of international settlements haha
4. Take profits when you can, all markets have cycles, they go up and down!
5. Be skeptical to technical analyzes and ICO scams, The market is pretty much controlled by emotions as long as the institutional long term investments is lacking. Research ICO´s well, check if the team members Linked in profiles are legit and in the right field of work. Look at the following at twitter and telegram to see how much publicity and hype a certain ICO is getting.

Also think about how large of market an ICO is addressing and how large share it can get, will that bring value to the project? Will it have income? or just be used?

Have fun Smiley

It is good your friend directed you to this forum. It contains whatever you need to know about bitcoins and other alternative currencies. Never invest any money now till you are conversant with the terms and trading of crypto. All the best

My suggestion, first you need to know what Bitcoin is. You can read it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin and learn something about it.
And if you want to make sure what you doing on bitcoin, you need to watch the movie too https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2821314/ its documentation movie about bitcoin from 2009 to 2014.

Above method what I use to introducing to other people, and it works Wink
