It's a great pool, that's why it's always has a ton of the network Smiley I'm not sure why you say it's well above 51%, talking about forking or  double spend attacks is not relevant for scrypt. We have  ~4GH/s on hash.so, so "we" have >51% of flap for quite some time.

The only valid concern is DDoS attacks, and flap network loosing tons of hashing power but with KGW even it is not an issue, coin would retarget itself quickly.

More info in here: http://www.reddit.com/r/flappycoin/comments/1yihen/seems_this_pool_httpsflaphashsoindexphp_is/cfkvxhp

I guess I need to write this up somewhere, because it keeps happening quite often, I can't complain tho, it means that my pools are great Smiley

I'm not sure why you're posting this, because non of that is true.

51% attacks work just as well on scrypt coins as they do on bitcoin. There's no particular difference between these coins that makes 51% less of a risk.
51% should be actively avoided.

Your assertion about KGW is incorrect as well. KGW actually makes a DDoS attack more powerful and more effective.
An attacker could massively drop the difficulty almost instantly by attacking the largest pool.
Due to KGW adjusting difficulty so fast, the attacker would see a very large increase in coins mined per khash.

On coins that retarget much slower (hours/days), a DDoS attack will only reduce the competition in finding blocks, but not directly reducing difficulty (as it would take a longer time for difficulty to adjust).
This would make such an attack not as effective as it would be against a KGW coin.

Also just noticed that flap.hash.so holds 1 gh/s out of the 1.6 gh/s net hash. That's roughly 63%, well above the 51% mark. Let's spread the hash guys! I already pulled my miner off to another pool!

You need to stop accepting miners until you are bellow the 51% mark... I can not believe you seriously let your pool take over 51%.

LocalMiners.com is up to people.

This is fucking crazy, spread your hash and these fucks need to get their shit together @ this pool.

Don't believe all the hype about it... The coin is being controlled with way more precision than most will ever realize. It's certainly fun to ride the pumps, and I'm mining a little before switching back to FLAP, however, it won't be the next BTC :]

I guess the next thing we need is time. Hard as that is to do in crypto lately. We just need to let some stacks of FLAP get impatient and get into hands of big money. Once big money gets a taste and hash rate increases the competition for FLAP shares begin and we see nice gains.

In mean time we gotta keep promoting the coin, and comming up with new and innovative ways to draw in a robust community.

Im running out of ways to Flapping support the coin guys.

I spent all my spare btc (not much) buying up what I could, been mining it since the minute hash.so put the pool out for its users.

I been chatting with others spreading the word of the coin but I need help!

We have some awesome prizes as giveaways for our flappycoin game promotion. We need to get out and hit all the troll boxes hard with chat about FLAP. Go out and vote on every exchange. Is links to that on front page...

JUST FLAPPING DO SOMETHING to help this coin out. And I was more than happy getting some more at 3, but I do feel bad for those selling to me. Will only be a matter of time until this goes parobolic like MINTS doing now. MINT was about same price as flappy just a few short days ago. Maybe we are the next to get a proper valuation.

You understand thats a flappin' pool with 40 different options to mine with 1 account?

Its the best flappin' pool I've mined at and the only reason I ever found out about FLAP.

I would not hate on that guy for running a flappin' amazing pool. When this gets bigger, you will thank him for supporting a great coin with a great mining pool.

Remember, is a reason people aren't pulling there power off that pool. Its because it never has downtime and no lagged payouts. Oh yeah and so many options to mine from!

So when its more profits to mine another coin, you can easily switch, take those profits and buy more FLAP coin.

Im mostly on FLAP but I switch to others when adventageous and then put that btc right on the bid for more FLAP!

BOOM, thats how we do it.

I only meant it doesn't matter if I have 51% of the flappy network, I could easily use our other pools to launch a 51% attack against flappy (we have 5GH/s of scrypt), hell I could launch a 51% attack against any coin that has less than 5GH/s of network. I know it works just a well for scrypt coins as SHA256, but because most scrypt coins are smaller than the larger pools it doesn't really matter in practice.

My assertion about KGW was only about the network health, blocks would still be generated at a steady pace.

As for closing signups, that's not going to work, all of my users are shared in the pool and everyone can switch coins with just a click of a button.

Hash.so mining pools with easy coin switching! vardiff, pplns, and 0% fee (1% default donation). Come join us! Smiley
Currently we have 40 scrypt coins and adding new ones all the time.

Earn FlappyCoin while playing game.
Online web-based text game: http://deathxchange.com/games.php

This needs to get posted everywhere! I'll start and find a random subreddit that likes the game.

Lets look for more high traffic areas for our games.

If my order at 3 satoshis is filled I'll give away the 200k flappy i ordered for some sort of effort... Although I don't want this coin to take off until I get more BTC. So lets try and hold around 3-4 satoshis until Wednesday  Smiley
