Due to the current United States laws, all EgoPay accounts that belong to U.S. Citizens/Residents/U.S. Companies will be locked on the 28th of March. You can still implement your operations the same as before until 14th of March. Please note, that after 14th of March you will not be able to receive any funds and will only have an option to send or withdraw your funds.

Please manage your payments and withdraws in time.

This should be a nice boost to Bitcoin!!  Pretty soon Bitcoin will be the only payment system Americans can use for internet investment programs!!

Thoughts?

I've never heard of Ego Pay until now.

If you aren't the sole controller of your private keys, you don't have any bitcoins.

No. Ego Pay has not been shut down by the US Government. The have chosen to comply with US laws by not taking US Persons as clients and closing the accounts of their current US Person clients. This likely due to FATCA.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_Account_Tax_Compliance_Act http://www.irs.gov/Businesses/Corporations/Foreign-Account-Tax-Compliance-Act-%28FATCA%29 Big difference.

Yes this is still bullish for Bitcoin.

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

Never used ego pay, but it appears as though it is just prohibiting United States people from using it.   US drops the hammer on so many businesses it is not even funny.

We can gamble, they just want Americans to use corporate approved and taxable funds!  Meanwhile gambling is looking to be approved in 15 states.  Our government can be quite hypocritical
