Thailand government is doing the right thing, ICOs and many small altcoins do not yet have legality because their security is still questionable and not guaranteed, while well-known coins like bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. have been regulated because they are guaranteed safe and impossible to scam..
even though some country will restrict or ban ico's and other altcoins , it is still possible to access it by just using a vpn or proxies which can change your i.p and country .
btc and eth are not also regulated and wont possibly be regulated because they are decentralized . your safety wont also depend on the legality or being regulated because your safety will only depend on your hands or on how you handle your money .
