Avalon is power hungry and very very very very FEW people are successful overclocking any of the Avalon gen 2 miners.....seems the manuf is not going to the nines so at BEST you get 220 gh at twice the power. Hardly a bargain. Ant easy to set up and easy on power
I would not buy an Avalon miner expecially the same manufact as BTmine for even par with a ANT the ant is worth more by and far. Sorry thats the truth not an opinion.

indeed there was a typo mistake in the description
Miners have 2 blades.
Each blade has 80 chips which gives around 105-110 GH/s
You can see the blade that we are selling on that picture.

Currently these are the same price, antminer mines at 180 though, this mines at 215. Antminer ships saturday, this is within 8 days, so that being said is this the better buy?

It depends if you pay energy or not and if you pay, at which rate you pay it.
These parameters are not the same for all the people here.
I chose this avalon vs the Ant because I will overclock it to 230 GH/s and that I don't pay electricity.
People told me it is not easy to overclock these miners but check their picture, this is a good example that it is possible. So for me, for the same price, I have 230GH/s vs 180GH/S for the Ant. It is a big difference in my case.
So do your calculation and decide Wink It is difficult to advise you on that topic.

Nothing makes this better but some people ignore power over GH/s
I have 4 of these units now all running 1500 OC running time over 72hours stable since last tuneup.
Currently total I get from 4 units is 900GH/s maybe average 880 to pool.
They hash 220-230, some units have dead chips.
I think i have total of 15 chips dead/cold accross 4 units.
with all chips hashing i would be over 900GH/s
To achieve this i had to modify Fans to 100%
-They are loud
-They are hot
-They drain +50% more watts compared to antminers
-They need 2x psu
-They are super fragile, most users cannot get these stable or break stuff trying it
-They are not for amateurs
-You may lose your connection to the miner... if you fail.
But for some reason I love them now and i want more Shocked Grin
Some people want to buy hardware power it on and gain profit.
Some of us like to tinker with stuff to achieve max.
I get 900GH/s with 4kW terrible i know Tongue
I could still double that.
Untill they make less than 2.5$ / day / unit they are wort keep running. These make what 40-50$ /day now, I dont have exact numbers
Lowest HW errors 3.7% higest 5.5%
230GH/s stable +2days
Antminer is very customer friendly solution and solid performer.
I will but some more Ants too

Currently total I get from 4 units is 900GH/s maybe average 880 to pool.
They hash 220-230, some units have dead chips.
I think i have total of 15 chips dead/cold accross 4 units.
with all chips hashing i would be over 900GH/s
To achieve this i had to modify Fans to 100%
-They are loud
-They are hot
-They drain +50% more watts compared to antminers
-They need 2x psu
-They are super fragile, most users cannot get these stable or break stuff trying it
-They are not for amateurs
-You may lose your connection to the miner... if you fail.
But for some reason I love them now and i want more Shocked Grin
Some people want to buy hardware power it on and gain profit.
Some of us like to tinker with stuff to achieve max.
I get 900GH/s with 4kW terrible i know Tongue
I could still double that.
Untill they make less than 2.5$ / day / unit they are wort keep running. These make what 40-50$ /day now, I dont have exact numbers
Lowest HW errors 3.7% higest 5.5%
230GH/s stable +2days
Antminer is very customer friendly solution and solid performer.
I will but some more Ants too

yes the other important point on electricy beside the cost: load
usual european breaker delivers 3k6W peak and 2-3 kW steady depending on wiring
110v households even much much less
most people put them in the basement/cellar/storageroom where most only have 1 line
so thats 2-3 Avalons you can run per breaker = 400-700GH vs 8-9 Ants = 1.4-1.6 TH
