yes at least a year! Dunno about you man but I have over 150 diff cryptos and I have a life, so yeah shit slips through the cracks sometimes, I am sure I am not the only one. I thought we were safe after the V3 update, this is crazy.

A year for a coin swap is absurd, come on now. A year in crypto is an eternity... so the whole project should just come to a screeching halt for a year until the swap is done?? Pay attention to your money and all will be fine. Sucks that something "slipped through the cracks" but that's your fault for not being able track your investments properly... not DOPE's fault.

Man I just got DAO back from a year ago,  so dont tell me they would have had to shut the entire project down , they chose this, i missed the communication and now i am pooched, too bad so sad, no problem as Dope was not my primary weed coin investment (thank God). I can tell you though, I will have nothing good to say about dope up here in the cannabis community, ever.

I'm sorry for your loss,

The coin was essentially rebranded so dope is now dopecoingold, the old dope was stagnant and needed a major overhaul, this development team have rebranded, restructured and are doing things most crypto currencies are not. They have a business model for incorporation in to real world uses, not for just hats t-shirts and a novelty coin with a funky name, this has been paired with dispensary's and no other MJ coin can say that.

how much did you have may I ask ?

Looks like that Canadian dude isn't coming back, if he wast being such a jack ass i was going to give him some of my coins.

Oh well that ship has sailed now.

In other news UASF is really giving BTC a hammering today, we have just got to get through till 1st Aug then ride the waves until September , hopefully all will be ironed out by then.

Good to see dope staying strong through these rocky times Smiley

if you go to page 1 on this thread and scroll down you should see a proposal of some of the objectives being worked on.

theres is quite a lot going on and this is the only Cannabis coin that is pairing with dispensaries. too many thing for me to list as a humble follower. this is the only cannabis coin to follow in my opinion.

Hey, run through the thread here or join the slack channel. They are working on a couple things including an advertising platform and of course the dopecoinseeds website. They also recently partnered up with the upcoming Growers International (GRW) project for a 300 cannabis seed sale for the GRW grow.

Yep thats what I am getting,  the coin wasn't going anywhere so they pulled a swap to gain attention. As far as how many coins I had, probably about 150-200K (ICO), so its not the value, its the principle and as long as projects can pull stunts like this you will never gain mainstream adoption. At less than 2 cents I can repopulate my portfolio with Dope, I sure as shit dont need anyone's charity lol,  but honestly,  why would I at his point? So the devs can pull some other shit 6 months down the road? Fuck that. I am sorry if you guys and gals think my attitude sucks, I feel completely justified in being a little pissed about this. Again it's the principle of the thing. If I buy a bar of gold and put in in my safe, I dont need to check it every month to make sure it hasn't turned into lead. This swap was all about getting attention, if you had really innovated or brought something new to the table you would be at 8-10 cents a token like POT.

lol well this is not gold... its a cryptocurrency. A coin swap is not uncommon in this space and again.... you should have paid attention to your investment. I am sorry you lost your holdings but it definitely could have been avoided.

It is a store of value and like any store of value the expectation is that it will not evaporate. If you buy anything of value, metals, stocks etc whatever doesn't matter, if you buy shares in Google or a handful of diamond etc it doesn't matter, those stores of value are going to fluctuate in their overall worth, but you are never going to wake up one morning and have them disappeared. That would be theft/fraud. But in the cryptoworld I guess thats okay. There are a million examples of why this is important. What about the person who invests a little for their kids, backs up the wallet and puts it away in a safe or safety deposit box. So much for buy and hold! How about a person who has had a serious accident, like they were in a coma for a year and unable to check in every month.  You think their investment bank is going to tell them,  "oh sorry you didnt check your investment for a year so we just destroyed it".

Your statement is false. Stocks have reverse splits which essentially "burn" shares of the company and reduce your holdings with the intention of increasing the value of the remaining shares but that does not always happen or companies can go out of business and all shares you hold become worthless. If you bought into enron (or countless other failed companies) and went into a coma for a couple years you would wake up and have nothing.

The original Dope Coin was essentially going out of business so they completed a reverse split, burned the old coins and issued a new blockchain. See? Real life scenario.

You are dreaming man,  a reverse stock split or consolidations don't evaporate your holdings,  common,  that is weak. Your broker is still going to hold those shares in your name, And a business failure is not what we are talking about here ; I own a shit tonne of Laidlaw which is absolutely worthless, but its still mine. I still own the token which represents its value (in this case stock certificates). Although with this management I can totally see Dope collapsing in the near future. I invested in all the weed coins and was there right at the beginning of all these coins so I know all the dirty little secrets. It was always a long shot investing in an abandoned coin anyway. same as the others,   how many did you guys take over  Dope, THC and STV? That was your group right? Have the others you took over swapped again,  I am finally getting around to my Cannabiscoin wallet (still in tact btw)  so you may as well tell me if this has happened with the other coins you guys took over.

So really whats Dopes next play,  6 months then rebrand to Dope Platinum?

Look at their history. They were around for the 2-3 swap but somehow weren't around for the last one. If something happened like they were in a coma or deployed overseas and were unable to keep up with crypto they should have lead with that but as it stands they just sound salty because they feel left behind with the price movement.

If they had come in without the attitude I would have chipped in to get them their coins back.

Technically speaking you still have the v3 dope so its just like your laidlaw stock shares.

What gives you the idea that they, goldiex, dopey, dopecoindude are the team behind thc and stv?
Did I miss something and thc had a swap? I was able to move coins I have held for quite some time and sell them, did i do something wrong?
