Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ?

lately I have been using mytrezor...It works really well for computer simpletons like myself.   I don't really spend BTC all that often, so it is really effective as a savings account as you can use it as a watch only wallet...

For local wallets I think Multibit is the best (and they are working on a new version that looks awesome). For convenience, blockchain.

I have used multibit without problems for months. Recently I tried to download the latest version from their website, but my browser refused to load the page and gave a certificate error. This really pissed me off because I refuse to download the client from anywhere else.

U might like to look for holytransaction.com. That is an universal wallet.

I simply use Multibit , no blockchain downloading I prefer Electrum but it's not working anymore on my PC .
beside I don't really see "a lot " of difference between all th wallets .

Bitcoin Core, and previous Bitcoin QT. The only wallets I have used as pc wallets.

Would be nice to have some extra features, it looks the same for quite some time.

just imagine you need 500 $ quickly, simply sell them there and get cash in your bank.
You could also use bitstamp or kraken if you prefer them compared to mtgox.

Do not use coinbase as an online wallet. Better try blockchain.info.

I suggest use online Blockchain wallet, because if you use desktop wallet it can make transactions for hours. And for larger BTC amounts BTC Trezor will be ok.

Lately blockchain.info is not doing that good...

I have not made an uninitialised variable mistake in over 10 years (and I code in C++ where this can be a serious issue).

For code to have been released into production with such a mistake is *clearly incompetence* and I am not talking about the particular dev (everyone makes mistakes) but by the organisation itself (where was the code review?).

You can't promote yourself to be a secure website for storing money if you can't even manage to audit simple code issues like initialisation.

My recommendation would be not to use blockchain.info for storing funds - they are clearly not up to the job of actually securing it.
