Well, we need new Win wallet compiled ASAP.
My old windows client keeps downloading the wrong fork from old Satoshi:1.2.1 peers.
Tried to create a GrowthCoin.conf file to manually connect to new 1.3.0 client nodes (connect=), it just does not connect at all.

Having the same result .
Unable to sync to grw.blockx.info fork block 502786. Is this a linux/windows divide.
My wallet was the 1.2.2 windows, I always kept it running on the PC and now it will only sync to blocks 503464

Getpeerinfo shows

"addr": "[2001:0:5ef5:79fb:4b5:832b:dbe9:c34d]:17177"

Is there anyway to stop my wallet connecting to this type of address and force it to IP's.

That's an IPv6 address, might just be the IPv4 converted into IPv4. But I don't think so. The wallet of any coin uses or has IPv6 enabled. It's required.

are you using the windows client?

Yes. 1.3 from palmd.

I implemented a checkpoint server yesterday to fix the forking problem, maybe you have a corrupt blockchain on your computer, try loading the client with the -rescan switch, or try redownloading the blockchain.

I deleted ALL outta .conf and wallet.dat. DELETED all addnode from .conf. Relaunched one night later, synched on the wrong fork. palmd gave me blockchain for me to be on the right fork.

I would be very surprised that your IP is banned, the fact that it's not showing on the explorer page doesn't mean your banned, it just means your are not connected to that node.

Just so you know, before activating the checkpoint server, I started 3 test nodes and within 24 hours, they were all on 3 different forks. Since the CP server has been added, they are all in sync.

I've been running  my client and staking without issues, still have all my test nodes in sync, and I've had the highest stable connections count that I ever got on the GRW network.

so try the few things I suggested, it should all be good now

I solo mine and my last found blocks accepted invisible in the wallet.

There was double blocks on the explorer, I did a rescan and I couldn't get that straightened out. I ended up flushing the database and reloading it.

The process is still 12 days out so that's why the TX is not showing from yesterday, maybe another 15 minutes to catch up

EDIT : It's all done Smiley

Well I really don't understand what is going on with your issue or what you are trying to say.

You must have some kind of trace if not how can you say that you mined some blocks if they are invisible?!?

Be more specific with your issue or try to post some kind of log so we can track this down.

Hey guys here are the new commits to the source.

I activated the DNS seeds witch greatly improves the get connection time when the client is freshly installed or the peers.dat file deleted. I managed to get connected within seconds with a fresh install... no config file to mess with Smiley

I have setup a dns seed host (seed.grw.blockx.info). I plan to make it an automated process so the host can scan for good nodes to connect to in realtime.

If someone wants to host another dns seed host for redundancy please do so. send me the link and I will add it to the source.

If you can setup a static node, that will also be a great addition for the network.

I can host DNS seed host but need some directions how to setup it properly - never did it before  Smiley
Already run two GRW static nodes on my servers.

The quick and dirty way is to manually add ip addresses of connected nodes of the network using the default port 17177, to the A records of an address (seed.growthco.in for instance)

The more proper way would be to setup https://github.com/iamunick/bitcoin-seeder on a server so it can scan periodically the network and return active nodes.

you can check these 2 repositories to find out the changes made to the bitcoin-seeder so it listen on the correct network.

https://github.com/JoiBlumen/auroracoin-seeder
https://github.com/Bushstar/worldcoin-seeder

Just finished setting up Growthcoin seeder at seed1.grw.acidpool.com  Smiley

Here is the source edited for Growthcoin: https://github.com/noise23/growthcoin-seeder
It accepts only version 60007+ port 17177 nodes to cut off old forked versions.

With every dns request it returns about a half of found peers in random order.

It's up and running now so you can add it as another dns seed host Smiley

ok, while I better understand your situation, I still cannot pin point the issue from here. Maybe it's related to your cgminer configs, if you have other pools configured, maybe your rig was doing work for those pools.

if you solo mine, try setting a higher queue in your settings. This could solve the issue, especially if you have a message saying that you don't get work provided fast enough

hi,

Thansks, now slash added.

I see that new windows client gets 11 connetions now, before I get 3 to max 5.

Wallet for server coins moving into one is at 53% of loading. It needs some more hours to be able to reactivate payout.

Believing that the dev is long gone and believing he'd ever return to release an update might have lost interest or has bigger projects to attend to and believe it was high time long time ago he did, yup everyone who's interested on GRW will need to update since already the network is stalled by the previous client , no mining , no sending or receiving , no confirmation of blocks , we've done some code updates to prevent negative Retargets in the future as per suggested almightyruler , he is credited for the same as well as getting mining fixed temporarily earlier and suggested and also predicted that the network will stall again if a proper update is not released as well as adopted.

New Wallet (Updated to version 1.2.1)
*Checkpoints Added
*Negative Retarget Fixed (courtesy of almightyruler)
*version Updates Posted
*Community Backed Development Announced

So all in all everyone who has GRW or is interested in the crypto , traders and everyone who has GRW on their wallets who were unable to anything before and wants to trade now will need to update.

Is it the same Growthcoin or is a new launch which honours the existing balances?
