actually all the wallets are good for storing your assets for a long time as long as you don't lose or hack your private key, but I prefer to have a wallet hardware like Trezor or Ledger and many have recommended using this wallet

Interestingly, there are several wallet to hold your bitcoin. Some of which I am not even aware of. However, there is wallet in the form of an app which I would revommend to you. I have use it for sometime now and I see it to be a good wallet to store bitcoin for a longer period. Mycelium app wallet is the answer to your request. Go to google playstore and download it onto your smartphone and keep your bitcoin within your fingertips.

There are two knids of Wallets They are known as Hot and Cold wallet

What is Hot Walllet - Private keys stored on a wallet connected to the internet are vulnerable to network-based theft. These wallets are known as hot wallets.

What is Cold Wallet - Keeping a reserve of Bitcoins/ALTs offline is called Cold Storage and those walllets are called Cold Wallet  For example Desktop wallet, Ledeger wallet and TREZOR Hardware wallet

The most reliable method of storage is traditionally considered cold storage.

Recently I download a Cold storage wallet that is Desktop based and I was amazed with the features provided in this wallet. If you would like to know more you should read this article written by me:

Any wallet with phrase recovery and paper wallet, either one of the two is best ,just make sure you keep your pass phrase very well, that includes private keys,by doing this even till twenty years later your Btc will be safe.

Trezor. It's worked really well. Highly recommended. They give you a sheet to write down your recovery seed/phrase so that in the event your Trezor is lost/not supported in 30 years/whatever, you can easily recover your wallet by entering the phrase into any popular wallet service.

What is best wallet for long term bitcoin holding? I want to choose one wallet for bitcoin holding. Which one is best and have no bugs and problems? Which one is worse? Which one is easy to instal and easy to use. Which one you just prefer for long term holding.
What type of wallet you want to use depends on the way you want to use them.If you
-want to spend Bitcoins;use hot wallet (resembles physical wallet).
-for short term investment ;use warm or cold wallet.
-if the goal is security;use hardware or desktop wallet.

Trezor is the first preference for holding the bitcoin and many other coins. you can keep safe trezor wallet key at your place and also recover the wallet after the lost of trezor. And offline wallet is the second option for safe the bitcoin, in this case you have to save the wallet file at the safe place, other wise you will loss your bitcoin.

I have a hardware wallet right now eith Ledger  Nano. Its fime and I like it. Sleek design, but I want to own a Trezor too.  Grin The more wallet I think is a good strategy and you can spread your crypto assets.

Hardware wallet is a must for long term holder. Metamask is a good one for tokens and Ethereum.

for me as long as i have a full access to my own private key then i am confident that it will be protected.
bitcoin wallets not matter what type it is will be safe depending on how good you are in protecting it.
that is why once i got my private keys i am instantly saving it in an external device only to be used when i need to.
i also make a print out of it for safekeeping purposes.

I think the best wallets to keep your bitcoin for a long while is a cold wallet.. But if for some reasons you can't use a cold wallet, you can use the blockchain wallet.. It's simple and easy to use. The most important thing is to make sure you save your keys privately and securely.

Yeah, you're right mate, hard wallet is must for the prevention of those scammers around and you should keep in safety place your private key and store it that you will never be forget because this is the most cases why some peile lost their bitcoin because of their clumsy the way they store their p.key.

Each of the wallet has its own risks. Today he is better but tomorrow he can be haked. It all depends on you and on what sites you go.

The blockchain is the best wallet for long-term bitcoin holding. As well hardware wallets are the safest and unhackable. With the use of hardware wallet, you can keep your bitcoins safe from hackers.
Did you mean blockchain.info wallet? because I just know only one official wallet with that name. I have store bitcoin that I got from faucet on there, now it's still remain. That's already like an app wallet, but we can't see our private key on each address that we have, that's the drawback.

The best wallets in every sense ... these are wallets purses. Although they cost money, they are much safer to store on them. I also recommend using the MacBook to connect your wallet ... there are no viruses on the MacBook, so it's almost impossible for you to hack and steal your money.

Cold wallet is the best solution for long term hodling. I for one prefer Ledger Nano S, while others like Trezor; some guys believe in the magic power of a paper wallet.

Hardware wallets are great but as you may guess the greatest problem is that they are not free and you need to pay for them, and many people in the forum do not really have the money to pay for a hardware wallet, this means that for them the best option is a wallet like electrum, it is a very lightweight wallet and it's one of the safest out there.

I prefer to using bitcoin client wallet such as bitcore, although you must download the whole blockchain database into your pc.
But it is actually very safe for long time hold because you are the only one who have the control of your wallet.

You can use Ledger Nano S wallet for your bitcoin holding. Safety is important for long-term storage. It is safe because you cannot open the wallet without the physical hardware. You can easily use it. It has no bugs and problems.

If you don't want to go for a hardware wallet, then IMO Blockchain.info is the best wallet for holding your Bitcoins. You can export your private keys and they give you the freedom to set the transaction fee while sending the coins to a different address.
