People wait ETF and BTC bull run. And it can be seen in the BTC dominance. It grow. It mean that traders sell alts for btc. I think it's partially FOMO but those mass psychology

It's normal situation. Some idiots sell altcoins with losses, and other idiots buy it, that to get a profit in the future ) What happend next - nobody knows.

I think that what is happening now with the altcoins is a common thing in this situation. If you look at the history, then always, when bitcoin confidently gaining a price, altcoins are falling in price. This is due to the fact that investors take money from the altcoins in order to buy bitcoin now or in the future. They are going down because people are moving out from altcoins to bitcoin, this is a normal practice when there is a sudden pump, they just want to stick to it

Alts are saving bitcoin for its bull run so if it starts to tank, they will receive all the tanking and decrease in value and percentage. Bitcoin has been correcting from the range of $7,300 - $7,400 but never went down to $7,200 so that's why alts are the ones that are tanking.

Of course no one knows, but if you are already here last year you will notice that the currenct trend is a normal situation last year, where bitcoin pumps altcoins will dump and vice versa. I think we are back now to the same trend last year, altcoins will pump again be patience

I don't think anything big has happened to altcoins. Need to understand one thing. When we talk about crypto, we need to understand that the crypto currencies do fluctuate and this is the nature of the crypto currencies. Just look at the number of coins have come up with bitcoins existence and its massive growth. Though many ICOs did not succeed, many do stand and own the projects. This is the growth of alt-coins. Last 6 months have been challenging for all altcoins; growth as like bitcoin. Just wait and see their marvelous growth n the coming months.

Mostly if bitcoin drops, most of all altcoins are dropping too so it's not new to me. I have a feeling that bitcoin somehow is being hyped again so that it's increasing its price but sooner or later it will go drop hard again and making the other investors lose their investment if they bought during the hype.

I agree with the opinion that money from alts is pumped to bitcoin. And the only thing I want, is that bitcoin is now falling back to 6.000, so that people would finally understand that the market of crypto-currencies - does not consist from only bitcoin. And it's silly to talk about decentralization, a free market, and lack of dependence, when the price of just one coin is able to crush down the entire market.

Welcome to crypto. Alts across the board are down like 8% on average since yesterday, and still up 7% on the week. It's not really out of the ordinary...

Everyone is buying Bitcoin. They expect Bitcoin will go to moon on 10th August.  Shitcoins are past, Bitcoin is IN.

I think because people fomo on BTC at the moment and waiting for the big news to come out (BTC Dominance: 45.6%). Wait until BTC stabilize around these areas of about $8k and a good chunk of this money will go back to alts

Rapidly increasing in price of BTC and ETH is the main reason for this dump of altcoin price . I think it's really normal cause it always happen like that in each pump, BTC and ETH will go first then other alts will follow after that. Last year, after BTC reached to $20k, all other altcoins also reached to their new ATH price, especially XRP had increased so many times .

this situation is same situation that happen in november - december 2017, when bitcoin in massive bullrun all altcoin market move to bitcoin market..it will be back when bitcoin price is stable

Nothing great to move the market at this time. The pessimistic trend of the bear market is what is driving the altcoins extremely down.It will recover with time though.
