it all depends on what type of investment we will choose. if I choose to invest short-term, I would choose to invest in altcoin, because altcoin market price movements are more easily changing faster than bitcoin, so if we are able to invest in altcoin in the short term it can be profitable. but if the way we choose to invest long-term, obviously bitcoin has proven to be a type of coin that is very potential and very good to be used as a long-term investment assets.

Both altcoins and bitcoin both are good for investment. But at the same time altcoins price always depends upon the bitcoin price. When the value of bitcoin increases automatically it would affect altcoins price also. So better investment is bitcoin, because the value of bitcoin will always be rocking, invest in bitcoin and hold it for future. Surely the price will increase and touch the moon. I everytime invest my money in Bitcoin because it has been very gainful for me.I have tried my luck in altcoins for a few times but I was not that much satisfied by them.Maybe I chose the wrong  coins but bitcoin have always been profitable for me.I think Bitcoin has more scope than any other coin as it is having the highest price among all the crypto currencies and the highest popularity.It is capable of affecting the whole market.So yes my choice have always been Bitcoin and it will always be the same.

Altcoins are surely not doing well right now unfortunately, there is too much of a uncertain market around bitcoin and let alone altcoins ofcourse, I remember last year where 100's of millions were flying into all kinds of projects, we will not see that time again, thanks to regulations we will not see a golden periode like that once again and therefore you should pick your altcoins very carefully, I believe altcoins will do much better than now in the future.

I think even with the current situation of the crypto market and despite BTC has dropped in value I still believe BTC is the best coin to go for followed by ETH. Though, for those with reservation about bTC I'd only recommend ETH.
