What is EquestrianBit?

Equestria is far away, but maybe there is a way to get at least a little bit closer to it. As we all know, in Equestria, the main currency is Bit.
And so we let ourselves get inspired by this money from the land of friendship and kindness, and created new cryptocoin, EquestrianBit!
We hope that, just like our favourite ponies, you'll use this currency for spreading laughter and and goodness all throughout the internet,
and if this makes at least one person happy, then we already succeeded. Thank you and brohoof to all of you.

FAQ

Q: Hey, that's awesome! Why no-one made it sooner?
A: Thanks! That surprises me too!

Q: What about ASICs? :/
A: Nobody likes Bitcoin ASICs. But scrypt ASICs are still far away and they probably won't be as effective as SHA-256 ASICs. But I would like to keep EQB accessible to everyone and if community agrees, algorithm may be later changed to scrypt-n or something similar.

Q: The logo...
A: I'm not sure about it... if someone wants to draw better one, go ahead! Smiley

Q: Where is "Getting Started"? Where are exchanges? This is Shitcoin!
A: Hey, if you want to write Getting Started or some info, I will appreciate that. Exchanges will come sooner or later, don't worry.

Q: Hey, that's great, I want to buy something with it!
A: Yeah! I hope I will someday be able to buy MLP comic or something like that with EQB.

Q: Mining! Cannot wait!
A: Instructions below Smiley

Q: I hate pools, I want solomine!
A: Okay, copy equestrianbit.conf to %appdata%/EquestrianBit and point your miner to localhost:14011, user PinkiePie, pass ChimiCherryChanga

equestrianbit.conf

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Better leave old blockchain and fix pool for relaunch, coz now it's fail. I think a lot people solomined yesterday. They wasted watts and time for this new orphans? Fuck that.
