Samsung is reportedly accepting cryptocurrency payments in several Baltic States using Copay.

The Lithuania-based company made the announcement today. Customers in Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, and Kaunas in the countries of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania will be able to purchase Samsung smartphones, tablets, laptops, TV sets, and more with cryptocurrency.

I also heard the news on BMW accepting crypto payments.Many have predicted that crypto currency including bitcoin will be the result of the evolution of currency form fiat to digital. But now it seems that there was never a collaboration between the two companies in the first place. A Samsung spokesperson has denied the partnership in an exclusive email to Hard Fork. “Our official response is that the rumor is not true,” the Samsung rep told us.

The supposed partnership was announced through a post on CopPay’s Medium blog, which has since been deleted (you can still access an archived version here).
