Hi all, I'll keep this short and to the point.

I have purchased two ASIC miners from Obelisk during their pre-sale (Batch 1). Each unit costed me 0.311 BTC. Have on order 1 Decred and 1 for Sia. I'm offering to have an auction here.
Thanks for your consideration.

You will receive the item brand new/unopened from retail packaging. I'll also give away 250$ coupon code to the buyer. The units haven't arrived yet but i'm looking to get a buyer lined up.

When making an auction thread it is always required that you provide some basic information needed to run a successful auction, for example if I started the bid at $1 then it will be a successful bid because you didn't add the minimum bid for the products.

Let's set the end date to July 27 at 12:00 am. Although i do want to reserve the right not to sell in case of complications.

Let's set the end date to July 27 at 12:00 am. Although i do want to reserve the right not to sell in case of complications. Basically what i'm saying is i can't take too much of a loss on the unit. Otherwise i could just keep the ASIC and profit from mining.
Thanks.

That is not how an auction works, once an auction starts is a contract and you have to fulfill your part of the contract, no one forced you to start the auction at $1, you should have started with the amount you want so you wouldn't take much of a loss.

Then why auction it with $1 as a starting bid ? You should have thought about all these aspects, and their consequences, before putting the auction thread up.
Don't pull rules out of a hat as if you were a magician. What's the next one going to be ?

Hi all, I'll keep this short and to the point.

Sometimes, you don't want to. When you start an auction, it's not a good idea, because you want it to be the most detailed as you can.
That way potentiel bidders can bid with confidence.

This is a forum, therefore i'm not contractually obligated to complete the sale. (Escrow is required if we do come to a deal to prove legitimacy)
I'm simply trying to weed out scammers, and people who are not serious.
Thanks.

I chose $1 to get the auction started and get the ball rolling. The next rule i propose is serious inquires only.

Yes, this is a forum, and it has its set of rules.
Before posting your auction, did you bother reading the Auctions - Guidelines and Tips! thread, which is here sticked at the top of the auction section ?

I'm simply trying to weed out scammers, and people who are not serious.

Pretty much same here. Oh and add "time wasters" to that please.

I bid $2 then ! Cheesy
Seems pretty serious to me, it's twice the starting bid. Shocked

Just for clarity sake, is it 12:00 am GMT ? 12:00 am but which timezone ?

If you must know, the time stated earlier only applies to me. At the end of the day the auction ends.

Would you seriously consider bidding on an auction whose OP looks like yours ?
Would you ?
