What error are you getting with the BTC app? Is it not connecting? Does it not unlock when you enter your PIN and select btc coin app on the device?

Seems odd that you can connect with the Ledger Manager chrome app, but not the BTC one

Odd that the Manager picks it up but the BTC wallet one won't... Possibly a weird driver glitch... but that would usually mean that you can't use the Manager either.

Have you tried using the Manager to uninstall all the apps from the device... and then re-add the Bitcoin coin app on the device?  Or maybe try and uninstall and reinstall the Ledger Wallet Bitcoin chrome app?

1) the ledger manager open and
2) the chrome wallet open ?

Do you hear the sound in 1) AND 2) ?

In post number 6 I suggested to him to uninstall apps from Chrome, sometimes new firmware and old apps create problems. The OP seems to have serious problems with basics, as you say it is not possible that Ledger Manager is connecting and Ledger Bitcoin Wallet not...

You use OS ( operating system ), but not Windows - so we need to guess which one you use, maybe MAC or Linux - something else?

After you type PIN, you have to also select the Bitcoin app on the ledger device, press both buttons and it should display the "use wallet to view accounts" message... Then the chrome app should connect

The logical explanation is that you have restored the wrong 24 word seed mnemonic on your Ledger when you set it up after updating the firmware.

Is the address the coins are in a "1-type" address? or a "3-type" address? If it is 1... then you have legacy addresses, and you need to ensure that you are still using the legacy chain in your Ledger Wallet Bitcoin... it should show like this:



However, if you have a "3-type" address... then you have a SegWit address, and you need to ensure that you are using the SegWit chain in your Ledger Wallet Bitcoin... it should show like this:



To change from Legacy to SegWit... or SegWit to Legacy... Click Settings:



Then click "Blockchains":



Then click "Bitcoin":



Then select either "Legacy" (or "Segwit"), depending on which one you want:

So you've managed to connect your Ledger and Ledger Wallet Bitcoin Chrome App, you check address in "Sign Message" option and that address is not shown even there+it is not shown with iancoleman tool also. The conclusion is that the address on which your bitcoin is located is not generated by seed you are using. However it is strange that you see your BitcoinCash coins with the same seed...

Maybe the problem is that you have more than one account related to Bitcoin and you need to learn how to manage those accounts. I will post link to that content, just take time and read step by step : Manage multiple Bitcoin accounts

Now you say your BCH is not on address created by same seed, so how can that be true if BCH&BTC are allegedly share the same address? One seed is generated both address, so you should see balance for both coins.

Seed is only thing which is important for your problem, even if device does not work properly there are ways you can restore your coins/private keys. So if you import correct seed in Electrum wallet and select derivation path for Legacy or Segwit your BTC should be shown there.

Ledger support it's not something you can rely on, I have experience with them and you can get more help just by surfing on their website or ask for help on this forum.

We give you many advice, try to read them from start - maybe you missed something. What I would do in your place is reseting device and make new firmware update, the possibility exists that the firmware is maybe corrupted. You should also remove all Ledger Apps from Chrome and make fresh install from Ledger site.

i mean is on same address and should be on same seed,but is not i explain wrong..seed is wrong for bitcoin and bitcoincash address

You don't "login" with a seed... do you mean that you reset your Ledger and restored it using your seed? or do you mean you simply used your Ledger again after a few months?

It would appear that for whatever reason, at some point, you have set up your ledger and started using it with a new/different seed mnemonic (which generates different addresses) and have not written this seed down (possibly during one of your many attempts to try and get the device working)... you've then sent coins to an address generated by the "new" seed mnemonic.

After finally getting the firmware on the device updated, you've attempted to restore using the "old" seed mnemonic that you do have written down... however this is NOT the seed mnemonic that your address was generated from... hence the addresses are different and you don't see the transactions and/or coins
