Jut a small request: Make sure to add an option in the profile page to disable/enable the badge.
In most cases, users don't want to display their reporting status to the public. Yeah, "most cases" or it's just me.

Yeah these are pretty good. I was just wondering if/when this feature will be implemented. Has there been any movement on it? I still have over 40 successful reports to gain my 300.

Now that we already have the 1 merit requirement for Jr. Member, I guess the time is now ripe to add these badges or you were just:

I "think" that I'm going to add some badges

If you're feeling a little bit generous, may I suggest an x amount of BTC every 1 million good reports?

Fucking hell most of us will be dead before we reach that high a number of reports. It’d be cool to eaen a small amount of BTC for successful reporting but it would have to be lese than that. Maybe something like 10,000?

If more people are looking to get compensated with their reports, 10k good reports is small amount. I've seen some people posting their report history and they're over 10k. If theymos would set it to 10k, abusing it won't be hard, so 1M is preferable to combat abusers. It'll be a race between spammers, spam abusers, and spam busters.

1 million good reports isn't hard, look at the bounty section, and altcoin discussion is infested with redundant posts. Just start now -

That would cause report spam, like the person who wants to reach 10,000 reports in a few days/week would create spammer bot accounts and the main account will start reporting it. It's alway quick and easy to report something that you know where to search for it...
This would create at least 10,000 additional spam posts to the forum, so let's just stick to the badges and don't offer real value

I don't know the numbers but I have reported plenty of Copper copy-pasters and they did get banned

I'm a self-admitted fan of "haiku bots"... love them so much that I went on a bit of a binge during my layover today and reported probably ~200 of them.

I don't think so it is necessary. We should give more appriciation to newbie for encourage more people's.Reporter is reporter should not limited them on rank. As well as it would be good if newbie encourage to report spam post. I think theymos idea is fine 3 step category and 3 badge for each,
Like 3 badge will describe as below , no matter what is rank.

Better
Best.

I think you are misunderstanding my suggestion. It will not affect the current ranking system. One can rank up without reporting. Level 1 Reporter to Level 10 Reporter will be based on the reports. That's it. Ranking will be based on current system One can rank to member if s/he has 10 merits. Reporters will just get an extra Membership. That's it.

As promised, here are my proposed reporter badges:
They look like iris of an eye, because IMO using an eye strongly represents a good reporter.

It is important that users improve the quality of their reports therefore the badges should depending on two parameters in my opinion: reports count and accuracy.
I think that badges should be given only to users with an accuracy of more than 80%.
However admins can make special badges for users who have more than 500 reports and 90% accuracy, and badges for elite reporters with more than 1000 reports and 95% accuracy.

When think or consider this will this bring more confusing or not. Will this badge system be abused by some individual or not. Looks like good idea and there were many good suggestions for image that looks good.
But will this help someone or not, we will all agree that we have spam in almost every page. Will this be good improvement or just good looking one.
