Blockchain Meeting in France — INT Continues Global Journey

France is the second largest economy in EU and has always been at the forefront of the international arena in science and technology. It is well known that the blockchain has gained the global popularity currently, likewise blockchain application and technology is paid much attention by French government and large enterprises in France.

On July 20th, 2018, Yin Xiangyu, head of INT China, and Chen Feier, Chief Business Officer, were invited to attend the China-Europe blockchain meeting in France. The meeting was hosted by imlink, a blockchain consulting company based in France. Imlink hopes to introduce Chinese high value blockchain project to France. To that end, the company invited Chinese projects including INT, SEC and ELA and European community such as Blockchain Assets and Crytp’s Cool. During the meeting, Mr. Yin gave a speech on the theme of “Exploration of INT under the development of blockchain”, which was highly praised by the audiences.

The Blockchain + IoT is explosive

The development of Internet in China is never inferior to any country in the world, even at the forefront, such as Alipay, Mobike, etc., which are the popular tools in the public life. Taking advantage of the IoT, China has successfully achieved a cashless lifestyle. People can handle everything with the mobile phone.

With the deepening integration of the Internet and the IoT, Mr. Yin believes that the IoT will soon be the focus of global attention in explosive market. This is also due to his keen instinct accumulated in the industry for 15 years. Mr. Yin has successfully operated e-commerce, online travel and big data websites since participating in research and development projects such as wearable testers and smart homes in 2003. INT Continue the Journey to Worldwide Presence

On July 19, 2018, the fifth Blockchain night hosted by the European EPC Competence Center (EECC) was successfully concluded in Düsseldorf. Head of INT China Yin Xiangyu and Chief Business Officer Chen Feier were invited to attend the meeting together. As the first speaker of a blockchain meeting, Mr. Yin gave a presentation to a crowd of scholars and experts from the global blockchain field including Dr. Skwarek, Chairman of Iso/Tc 307.

In the presentation, Mr. Yin mentioned that when the blockchain appeared as a new technical concept in 2013, with the keen instinct accumulated in the Internet industry for more than ten years, he saw the prospective potential from the perspective of IoT technology development. Even though IoT has brought people an efficient and convenient life, it has also caused a series of problems such as security risks, privacy leaks, inefficiency and high costs. He realized that the upgrade of blockchain technology is likely the best solution to the hidden danger of the IoT.

Mr. Yin pointed out that INT have found out the actual problems and bottleneck faced by the current blockchain and IoT and realized that the current widely used DAG technology is not applicable for real scenario. The technology seems to exist only in the simulation run of the laboratory by analyzing the present projects. Different from most people’s choices, INT innovatively adopt “use-case-driven” and “engineer culture” principles. By building a unique architecture of INT double chain and based on the consensus algorithm of DPoS and dBFT INT effectively solved the pain points of the IoT in multiple verticals.

China has surpassed most countries in the world on IoT development

It has been more than 20 years since the concept of IoT was officially introduced in 1991. The IoT has long been integrated into social production and life for decades, changing people’s lifestyles such as the appearance of shared bicycles and Alipay or WeChat. With the IoT technology China holds a leading position in the global electronic payment field. Mr. Yin believes that with the in-depth development of IoT, the future ecology of “blockchain IoT” will inevitably be the focus of global attention.

The IoT is an invaluable supermarket. The Internet and IoT development in China is no less rapid than any other country in the world. It is estimated that there will be 50 billion connected devices worldwide by 2020 and China will have 10 billion devices connected to the IoT. By then, the competition among various project parties around the world will be unprecedentedly fierce.

The trip to Germany is only the tip of the iceberg of INT’s journey to worldwide presence

After the presentation the organizers showed great curiosity about the INT R&D team and Mr. Yin explained that INT’s team members are mainly from well-known organizations such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Microsoft, Huawei, Tencent. Relying on such a team INT achieved the cooperation with Zhejiang Telecom on a home gateway project and with ZTE on a smart city project.

Mr. Yin noted that there are similarities between Germany paying high attention to technology and INT highly valuing engineers. INT look forward to explore the China market with EECC by the chance of the communication and enable the future of blockchain and IoT.

Next, INT team will head for Paris to attend the blockchain conference hosted by Imlink together with other outstanding Chinese projects like SEC and ELA. INT is continuing the journey to worldwide presence.

Xiang Ruofei: INT Double-chain Architecture Can Realize Separation of Calculation and Transaction Record

On July 7, 2018, the national blockchain workshop,organized by the Chain Club and co-organized by INT, was held in the sixth stop Wenzhou. Chief Architect of INT chain Xiang Ruofei and Chief Business Officer Chen Feier were invited to the workshop, sharing their experience and insights with the audience. The event also attracted strong support and attention from a number of companies and medias such as Coinmex, Coinzen and Cointime.

During the workshop, Dr. Xiang delivered a speech titled ”Exploration of INT Project Implementation”. Dr. Xiang helds a view that the blockchain has fallen into a technical disillusionment period, which can only be supported by the application scenario. Internet + finance extends to the blockchain + finance is undoubtedly the hottest trend recognized by the market, so that the payment field has become the favourite of the financial technology era.

“Limited by the characteristics of P2P networks, there are still many problems to do a better job in financial field of supply chain. INT overcomes the challenge by maximizing the correction of this technology.” Dr. Xiang stated.

In the meantime, Dr. Xiang mentioned that each object in the physical world has an infinite dimension and it is impossible to use the blockchain technology to implement the application scenario one by one. The two directions that blockchain is more suitable are market forecast and the IoT.

With regard to the current development of INT, Dr. Xiang said the double-chain architecture of the public chain and dBFT+DPoS consensus algorithm are the two core points of INT. INT’s double-chain architecture can realize the separation of calculation and transaction record and the correspondence of a scene and a sub-chain by smart contract.

Yin Xiangyu: Creating INT Ecology is the Top Priority

On June 24, 2018, Yin Xiangyu, head of INT China, and Chen Feier, Chief Business Officer, were invited to attend the Global Blockchain Summit in Philippines and Inaugural Blockchain Application Exhibition held at the Marriott International Exhibition Center in Pasay City, Manila.

The conference brought together more than 200 international political leaders and scholars, including the secretary of Philippines President Office, 300 employees in the blockchain industry, 5000 industry elites, and more than 1,000 high quality blockchain projects including INT. Around 1000 medias reported this summit. All the participants/guests discussed the application of blockchain technology and explore the application value in the blockchain, and to promote the blockchain technology to be successfully launched globally. The strong lineup of this summit is a milestone in the new era of blockchain application cooperation.

Building the INT ecosystem is the top priority

Yin Xiangyu discussed the future blockchain applications and the planning of industry together with industry experts and investors. He said that the entire industry not only lacks top-level applications, but also the awareness of constructing the industry ecosystem. Creating an ecological environment system is the primary task of an industry and a project development. INT is China’s first IoT and blockchain project. How blockchain technology will change the future of the IoT

Preamble:

According to CISCO, by 2020 there will be more than 6.58 devices connected to each person. If Smart Hardware brings more convenience to our daily lives it also increases our security awareness and privacy protection concerns. Vendors solving these challenges will be best placed for mass adoption.

Current centralised applications have high-severity vulnerabilities

In recent years, there have been a number of serious IoT security incidents all over the world:

In 2008, a 14-year-old Polish teenager controlled the tram system in Łódź, Poland’s third-largest city, with a modified TV remote control, resulting in the derailment of several trains and injuries.
In 2010, a former employee remotely invaded the computer systems of car dealers in Austin, Texas, and a large number of customers complained of vehicle breakdowns.
In 2013, the United States well-known hacker Samy Kamkar issued a video on Youtube, showing how he used a technology called SkyJack to enable a basic civilian drone to be positioned and controlled to fly nearby. The drones formed a “zombie drone team” controlled only by a smartphone.
In 2014, 360 security researchers discovered a design flaw in the Tesla Model S automotive application that could allow an attacker to remotely control the vehicle.
In 2015, HackPWN security experts demonstrated the use of BYD cloud service vulnerabilities to open doors, start cars, and open the trunk of BYD autos.
In October 2016, a very large-scale DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service attack, which occurs when multiple systems flood the bandwidth or resources of a targeted system, usually one or more web servers) raided more than half of the U.S. Internet from East Coast to West Coast. Internet services in the U.S. almost went down, including Twitter, Tumblr, Netflix, Amazon, Shopify, Reddit, Airbnb, PayPal and Yelp. The hackers who launched this cyber attack used a "botnet network" consisting of 1.5 million devices. Most of these devices were webcams produced by China DAHUA.

With the popularity and large-scale application of the IoT, those vulnerabilities cannot be ignored. Currently, IoT devices are controlled under centralized networks which have very high security requirements for central servers, and the security vulnerabilities of IoT nodes will affect the whole network. Applying Blockchain technology to the IoT can solve the existing security problems.

INT and blockchain technology

Blockchain is a decentralized distributed network ledger system. It is based on a trusted and absolutely secure model. With the cooperation of the encryption algorithm, the transaction information will be publicly recorded in the blockchain system in the order of time of occurrence, and the corresponding timestamp will be included. The key point is that these digital "blocks" can only be updated through the unanimous consent of all the people involved in the transaction. So the attacker cannot illegally operate through data interception, modification, and deletion.Many projects are attempting to solve the IoT security problems through Blockchain technology, such as INT.INT will filter the intent through the innovative BPK algorithm, and ensure the user's security.Traditional DPoS consensus algorithms have started evolving towards the direction of centralization while deviating from blockchain’s original intention of decentralization. Therefore, INT pragmatically created a new consensus algorithm called Double Chain Consensus Algorithm on the base of deep understanding into the core of DPoS consensus algorithm and on the basis of INT chain’s real application scenarios as well as current development status of the IoT devices. The basic architecture is shown in the following diagram:

Blockchain technology has the potential to solve the security concerns around the IoT and protect its users. Whether it is protecting data privacy or using encryption algorithms and consensus mechanisms to prevent DDoS attacks on IoT devices, Blockchain technology can play a key role in recording and verifying our transaction behaviour.

INT Chain Community Q&A
Below is a collection of Q&A from the previous bi-weekly reports for better reading experience.

I. Tech(Node)

Q: It has been mentioned that INT will use machine learning and cloud computing to model strategies and process data. What are the planned capabilities and uses of this? Will the INT router be the nodes of this computing network? Will the supernodes?
A: This is actually on the INT blockchain cloud, and data analysis based on the data collected by the INTChain, and then make intelligent decisions. This piece of the function is still in preparation stage. Because the limited power of the INT router, it cannot act as a master node, and can only act as a light node.

Q: You mentioned using EOS’ supernode structure of voting on consensus nodes. Will this provide economic incentive for voters by enabling a shared block reward?
A: Our token economic mechanism is still in design and will not completely imitate EOS, because dBFT automated election logic is still being optimized.

Q: Will the DHT be used for data storage like BitTorrent or is it strictly as a node table?
A: Yes, DHT is together with node, and is used as data storage, and can store related node table as well.

II. Tech(Function)

Q: Can setPrice buy and sell function in the contract manipulate the price?
A: First of all, these functions are used to do the transactions between tokens and Ethereum. If there are exchanges or transactions occurred, they are performed in respect of the wishes of both parties. In addition, the INT team has never called this function to set the price, and INT has solemnly promised not to use the setPrice method to manipulate price in future. Currently, except the setPrice can be called by the contract owner, the other two functions are unavailable, so manipulating the price is inexistent.

Q: Will there be overflow problems?
A: For this problem, INT has made an official statement before. Although the amount * sellPrice may overflow, the final transfer calls the _transfer () function (see 169 lines and 176 lines of the code for details), this function strictly control the conditions for each transfer. This can be referred from lines 130 to 137 of the code. Therefore, errors similar to overflows will not occur.

III. Tech(Others)

Q: INT will utilize zero knowledge proofs to hide user intent and hide node identity. Is there any plan to use ZKP in other use cases like private transactions of data or assets?
A: Zero-knowledge proofs are designs in the single chain 1.0 architecture with an aim to better protect data privacy. In the 2.0 architecture, a new double-chain architecture is adopted. Meanwhile, the consensus mechanism has also changed, and many areas need to be redesigned. Many problems have also been encountered. After solving the current problems, ZKP will be considered in other situations.

Q: Are you planning on having several established subchains of different functionality on main net launch?
A: The semi-open “smart contract” module will be set on the INT chain to deal with the “fragmentation” of IoT applications. Q: Can you explain more about INT’s new consensus?
A: INT new chain adopt the dBFT+DPoS consensus, which is a huge advance for DPoS. On one hand, it oriented to differentiation application in the IoT more practically, on the other hand helping to select the “supernodes” in a stable and efficient way to realize service availability.

Q: Why there has been no updates in github?
A: The open source disclosure of the INT project codes is strictly in line with the project R&D progress. The disclosure of data involves the core of projects such as technology R&D and debugging. IV. INT supply

Q: Will the total supply increase?
A: There is indeed a minToken function in the INT contract. This function can be called by the contract, creating privilege to implement the token issuance, but INT party never calls this method, and others have no privilege to call. With regard to the issue of token issuance, INT officially promised that no additional issuance will be implemented. In addition, INT is planning to implement token migration after completing the development of the wallet and the launch of mainnet, and INT will be more cautious with the planning of token quantity.

Q: When is the remaining 680 million unlocked? How much is the team holding?
