What are the reasons you prefer investment in Bitcoin over other Cryptos?

I believe investments in Cryptos are the priority for beginners. But most people like Bitcoin since it’s obvious, so are you like that? And if so then what’s the reason for your investment? My reason is that the potential is huge in this as compared to some others, but I do know that higher amount is required to gain more.

Beacause bitcoin is like gold. 99% of other coins are just speculative tools for whales to increase amount of bitcoin. Current investors are so blind screaming HODL HODL and showing etherum, ripple growing faster than bitcoin. But just jump to Historical Snapshots from for example 2013. Which coins from top 50 are still on market.

And those are coins from top 10! It means that if it will happend again 6/10 coins from top 10 (eth, bth, eos, stellar, iota, tron) will be on 90% loss Ripple will have 200% profit and Litecoin 50%, cardano 400%(just example). In that time bitcoin will made next 1000%

Now you know why hodl is worst option and when it comes to investing there is only bitcoin? 1/10 from top 10 coin was better than bitcoin. If you would spread your capital equal to top 10 your potfolio would be on lost (on crypto market where whole market made 20 000%. You can still trade and earn on alts. But investing and hodling is like buying ticket in lottery.

We like bitcoin not because its obvious. We like bitcoin because it has best infrastructure, hype, community developing it, decentralization, usage, largest perspective. Others are here and wont be in next year after.

Because Bitcoin is the number one crypto. Mostly, people will try to invest in that first before any crypto. But indeed other crypto could also give you much gains as investing in Bitcoin.

There are a few reasons why BTC is still #1 compared to most alts.

1) Its the first and oldest coin
2) Its the most secure
3) Its the most decentralized
4) No ICO or Premine
5) Satoshi was anonymous and nowhere to be found and doesn't pose a risk as a developer

it is because the bitcoin is pioneer in this industry and of course the future of bitcoin with financial transaction is clear, we will invest in a certain coin that in the end the value will go lower than the price of the coin on how much you bought it you will having a negative profit if ever.

Exactly! I agree with this. There is no real intrinsic backing for a lot of these coins, just a bunch of bros in their basements with computers who think they can get rich quick. Bitcoin is not so vulnerable to manipulation so it cannot be pumped and dumped so easily. The large volume makes it more robust inevitably so it can stand on its own without swinging violently from top to bottom.

Hopefully we'll see some more coins with structure and vision to come. There are some honest investors out there who want to use the concept for doing good.

Bitcoin is more like the god of decentralization and the first of its kind. With that kind of huge support over the years and more support and development upcoming, it is sure one any investor would not want to give the first chance before considering any other. However, this does not mean investing in some other good altcoin project is a bad idea, but a huge percentage of them are just some form of distractions which we all know all they are good for is just pump and dump.

Bitcoins has the fastest growth in the market due to its popularity while other altcoins is not guaranteed to grow because most of their developers are scammers.

I`ve never seen a crypto investor to do that.What`s the poin of such market strategy?It would make sense, if they scream "SELL,SELL" not HODL.Everybody knows that ethereum isn`t growing faster than bitcoin,it never will.The main purpose of ETH is to serve as stable currency for the DAP environment and all the ICOs.
I never compare bitcoin to any other altcoin.Bitcoin is my only choice and bitcoin will get only stronger and better.

I immediately change my earning s from altcoin to BTC and this is quite alright with me. I noticed that when bitcoin starts to rise it rise immediately and steady but altcoins are slow risers and most of them remains inconsequential in price and sometimes abandon by their  developers, making the investors to lose so much.

Reality is that bitcoin is more secure than other crypto currencies because it is most trusted and people keep putting their money into this coin. Slowly bitcoin is gaining more dominance over other crypto currencies and thus it is getting useful for its stubborn nature in the market. this is a bit misleading though because you are looking at their USD value where in fact you should have checked their BTC value. most people are investing in these coins with bitcoin and don't care about their USD which is why whenever there is a bitcoin rise these coins keep their BTC value more or less and show rise in term of USD where in reality there was no rise.

for instance in case of LTC its USD value shows a 295% rise (yes it is 295% not 400%) but its BTC value shows -65% drop.

The reason I want to invest in bitcoin is over cryptocurrency because bitcoin has a higher value and what that cryptocurrency gives to the community is also very good but bitcoin has a long history of development and is more attractive to me.

You are right. I did not calculate it exactly. I estimate it only to show that its performance was way worst than bitcoins

Just like i do. I'm trying to earn satosi, not dolars from each trade. But OP asked why we invest in bitcoin rather than altcoins. So his strategy is more like "i have dolars, where to put them". I cant say to someone that bitcoin is better investition because by investing in altcoins you would have less bitcoins.

Though most of these coins in the top 10 have a great community backing it up, the ability to bounce back higher after a great deficit is what separates bitcoin from most cryptocoins. Also, a lot of deep pockets and influential people are getting their hands wet on this market, so it gives us a wider audience for the coin and a huge number of traders participating, possibly eliminating the control of the whales in the process. Also, it's recognized and regulated in a lot of countries already, which gives enough confidence to the end-users to not get fucked up by exchanges in case they wanted to go Mintpal or Mt. Gox for profits.

Bitcoin has been known in many countries around the world. Therefore, the use for the international realm is getting easier not only that you do not need to take a lot of time and energy because transactions using bitcoin do not need financial institutions so you can bertranmsaksi whenever and wherever provided you connect to the internet

In my case, I preferred other cryptos too. In crypto world, BTC is the most dominant and preferred coin but don't waste the opportunity and advantages that people can get in other altcoins.

Potential is always there that's why take an altcoins that is worth to put a shot.

Honestly in my long term experience in crypto world, altcoin trading is one of the reason why I gained decent numbers of BTC in general. Way better than putting money directly coming from fiat. People just need to enhanced their respective strategy to become a winning strategy.

Bitcoin investment does not follow the trend in other market and therefore provide a good tool for portfolio diversification, for example,if the housing market crashes, it will likely affect the stocks market,bond market and so on, but not so with bitcoin market.
