need a moderator: hacked account

I didn't log in to my account since two days, today i discovered that my account has been hacked. Email and password changed by this ip 78.26.198.233 (I can't understand how this did happen as my email can't only be opened by an sms code). I didn't changed my email or my password since my registration in bitcointalk.

In the email i received, it suggested to lock the account but as i saw cases before, it will be hard to recover it.
Note: i staked my btc address before and i can confirm that this account is mine.
What should i do next in order to recover my account?

This is the message i got when rtrying to lock the account:

Your account will be locked. Nobody will be able to log in and access any of the account's functions. Administrative action will be required to unlock it. You should contact an admin after this (see the sticky in Meta). Be warned that although it will be easier to recover an account after this locking tool is used than if you do nothing and your account is compromised, our account-recovery throughput is very limited, and it could be a long time before you get your account back.

How did I recover my account?

1. I logged into my account using the "forgot password" setting. Then, a recovery link was sent to the "yopmail account" which can be used to change the password of your account.
2. After changing the password of my account, I also changed my email address, and added a new security question for additional security.
3. Afterwards, I deleted all the forum's messages in the yopmail account so as to prevent the hacker from undoing my change password nor locking my account.

Its very early though,don't be in a hurry the time needed to recover your account take months even since you can see the other threads to know that people are waiting to recover their account even after 6 months.

Another light brights for users who lost their accounts; By the insistence of many Mods to give hand, Theymos seems to think again about a process for accounts recovery:

maybe theymos and cyrus should just take a day or two out of every month to investigate and restore them.

It would take at least a couple hours every day to deal with them. Each case typically requires a lot of follow-up. And it's really annoying work. I used to do them sort-of regularly, but at some point I just couldn't stand it anymore, in addition to not really having time. Cyrus is still doing some, though not enough to keep up.

There's no need for any fee, and a fee probably wouldn't be appropriate unless absolutely necessary. Money is not a problem. If I could throw $100k at the problem and make it go away, I would do so. But in the real world, there is no magic wishing well where you can throw money and make things happen. You give people money and they don't do what you want, or the people you hire turn out not to be trustworthy, or you fill out the tax forms wrong and then later have to spend more time&money dealing with that than you would've by just doing the thing with current sub-optimal resources, etc.

I acknowledge that the current situation is very bad, and we have some plans for fixing it. I hope to have manual account reviews going smoothly again before the end of the year at the latest.

you should check theymos posts in this section. All those users that their bct accounts were being hack need to send an email for they wish to recover it in an old fashion like attending to every concerns and issues with the team he formed. The email also was new so that would be the best email to.send concerns and issues. good luck OP!
