What are some of the best movies based on gambling? My favorite is Rounders. What about you ?

There are a lot of movies revolving around gambling, one of my favorites are 21. I think that is the first movie that I've watched that is really all about gambling. The other movies I love is not about Gambling but there are some moments there about gambling that I love.

Focus and The Hang over has some gambling moments that I will never forget. I don't really like Gambling genres since we all know how will they end up, trouble on the casino or either with their families and friends.

Yes 21 is an excellent movie, actually me and my friends planned to visit the real casino that time we refer some movies in our list my best movie is 21 superb screenplay and ideas are incredible but in real time those ideas will not work but one strategy helped us. in 3 card game how the group of friends can cheat casino we tried but we failed.

Never thought that this movie will be left out but in fact a lot of people posted about it. I don't really watch gambling movies until my father suggested this certain movie since I really like movies where the MC is so smart or intelligent. And this is a movie, I don't think it will also apply on the real game, well, no one can beat the "system" on the real casino.

Even if you remember everything and account for no errors, the way the casino cuts the deck will make it very difficult. Also it only edges in your favor about 0.5-1.0% last time, I read about it.

So basically you need to play thousands of hands, with no human errors, without getting noticed by security to win.

So in reality its very difficult to do.

Well I think we must refrain ourselves from gambling in any way. Watching such movies will trigger your sense of greed and we start watering for money through gambling. Like if a person have little bit feelings to go to gym and get muscular, but he isn’t doing this for any reason. And suddenly he watch any motivational movie, so definitely he would be triggered enough to start that thing.

I don't enjoy watching people gamble as much as when I am the one gambling so I'm not into movie and I'm not aware if there are newly released movies this year or last year.

Petty on all of them who are just supporting this cause. People you need to understand that this betting is luck. You can’t just make anything better for your life assure, until you aren’t good in skills and experience. Better for you to make your life happy and prosperous just by doing some respectable job. You have to keep on finding good jobs and please refrain yourself from this.

Gambling is all about luck and all the people who play gambling here must know about it. May be in some condition we have the chances to use our luck but even there we cannot ignore the importance of luck.

It is a movie so I don't think that people should be trying that in the real gambling. Also, these students are said to be "geniuses" so I think that says it all.

I don't even know how can they memorize the card being given by the dealer. They are not just having fun in gambling but also applying things that can't be done easily especially as far as I know that is illegal.

Beyond the edge is new movie, it's Russian movie but with English language, scenes of gambling are from real Russian casino. Antonio Banderas with one Serbian actor Milos Bikovic in main roles.
Nice movie from Russian movie makers, with elements of magic and how they win money in casino.
I watched this movie couple weeks ago in bad quality, nice movie and I'm someone to upload HD and I will watch it again, it's recommendation from me, enjoy the movie.

I have seen this movie and can vouch that it's a great one for gamblers to watch! Very entertaining. I  also have seen 21 and that one wasn't too bad either. However, one of my favorite gambling scenes is actually from the first Hangover movie. I thought it was super awesome when Zach Galifianakis went to the casino and was doing the card counting.

I personally do not have enough knowledge about it, because I am not a movie lover, but I have heard about a movie that is in our native language “JANNAT” which I think that is based on gambling and is specially on sports gambling. There may be some more but I personally have no idea about it.

For those who want to join armed forces, they see army movies and war based movies and their interest keep on developing. But what is the case with gamblers? Definitely they would do the same. My favorite of all time "Lord of Gamblers". Its a movie that combined drama, crime and gamble all together in one with all its sequel. The interesting thing about it was that, the movie was exclusively about gambling unlike the other ones I have watched that it was just in passing that some scenes will be showed in casinos. It even went to show how deep people take gambling in the underworld and how extreme they could go. Still looking to download the movie and watch again.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that card-counting has become pointless nowadays. In modern casinos they either use a new deck each game or they use automatic shuffling machines(ASMs) which randomly shuffle decks, or Continuous shuffling machines (CSMs) which partially shuffle used cards back into the dealer's shoe.

If the card counting techniques from the American heist drama film 21 presented any danger to casinos, MGM Studios would not finance the film in the first place. But they did because they saw the film as an attention-getter. "People who saw it would be encouraged to go to Vegas and play" - they said.

Hmmm. I don't know bud, we all know that movies is fantasy so I don't know if you're going to believed in the movie, let's say God of Gamblers or 21. There are a lot of movies with gambling themes, my favourite is the Revolver movie where the main character enters in a very dangerous gambling game where he risk to even be left dead. There are some pretty good actors in it, with Jason Statham being the main character. I suggest you to see it in case you haven't already. For other good gambling movies just check the IMDB website database.

I love jason statham doing this movie and the action is is worth it to tackle about how gambling can brings to our life.and very few like what Jason’s end up with this movie that happen in real life,since i knew some people that has been killed because of not paying the gambling operators with their betting credits

There are too many gambling movies. If you tend to search on google you will find plenty of them. Although I am not so fond of movies but still "The lady Gambler" is one of my favorite all time movie related to gambling.

thats nice bro  .  gambling movies didnt get much attention and they dont have many releases from this genre . that is why it is good if you can support them but i dont think that you can get legit tricks on them because they arent real at all since they are only a movie  . 

By the way , im only familliar with one movie that is related to gambling and the title of that movie is god of gamblers  .  the movie was a bit old and  i was verry young the first time a watch it on a vcd player of our neighbor
