Samsung Electronics, a giant of the Smartphone manufacturing industry, recently commented through its official blog that cryptocurrency wallets based on mobile phones are the safest option for the short and medium term storage of cryptocurrencies.

The post explains that smartphone-based cryptocurrency wallets are a very safe place to store digital money, at least the equivalent of the amount we could store in our physical wallet. To save long-term cryptocurrencies, Samsung recommends creating multiple backups of the private key associated with the wallets.

The Smartphones producer commented that private keys should be stored offline to maximize their security, which means that they should not reside on a mobile phone or any device that connects to the internet regularly.

The blog post comments that mobile phone cryptocurrency wallets are the best place to store "spendable" money due to the phone feature called Trusted Execution Environment (TEE).

The TEE runs its own execution independently, which means that the RAM and storage of the phone are separated from the main operating system of smartphones.

Because of this, the Android operating system can not directly access the TEE, even if the operating system is hacked. In this sense, you can only access the TEE through an application programming interface (API).

This is great! Smartphones can now function as hard wallets? Wow! Just wow! It will be more convenient for us because we can now bring our hard wallets anywhere because we always have our smart phones. We can easily access our coins if ever we need to do some withdrawals or deposits because the wallets are already installed in it. Kuddos to Samsung for making this innovation!

It could be useful that smartphones can be use to store cryptocurrencies. But what about if we lose that phone what will happen? And are we safe with the hackers trying to hack our phones?

Nowadays many have been paying attention to blockchain technology, I hope someday more big companies will adopt blockchain technology and its security must be improved again.

Samsung electronics was able to secure your cryptocurrencies via smart phones and other electronic device because they tend to create malware that secure your personal identity and cryptocurrencies. And i am quite sure that every Samsung smartphone and other electronic device has a built-in storage software that enable then to protect and if lost, enable them to recover and transfer it from another Samsung device. And i know,Samsung company continues to expand and looking for innovative solutions that surely address every people's need.

I think saving digital money on the phone is essential but it is easy to hack or steal. Because it seems that the android operating system is an open operating system and it is easy for hackers to hack and steal data

have you read the post ! it said "The TEE runs its own execution independently, which means that the RAM and storage of the phone are separated from the main operating system of smartphones" that means even if your mobile gets hacked , they won't be able to access your wallet . a big company like Samsung already aware of hacking attempts of smart phones and with this feature , i can see huge leap towards more innovations like this .

I heard that several companies have already developed smartphones with an integrated wallet for crypto currency storage. Thus, if the wallet does not have an Internet connection, the attackers will not be able to steal the means from it - this is possible only with direct physical access to the information carrier. However, this is also the main minus of such a wallet: it can only store crypto currency, but does not allow using it directly.

Smartphones are the most secure way to store cryptocurrencies untill someone steals your smartphone,or you lose it,or it breaks. Grin
What happens if some of the above happens? Can the Samsung developers answer this question?
I prefer my crypto wallets to be on some other device, with private keys printed and stored in my basement. Grin

absolutely true, I joined into bitcoin by smartphone sinces last year, it's not only the safest way to keep our identity and wallet address or something, it's kinda pretty simple as well to do anythings like bounty campaign, so it's like all the important and profitable things is just in your hand.

I am really happy and also surprise to know that now we can use the smartphones as new hardware wallet just like the other hardware wallets like Trezor , and Ledger Nano S. This really shows that now the compatition is going to go in a tough way for all the smartphone companies like Apple, HTC, Microsoft, and   Nokia and they will try to make some new cryptocurrency supported services and tools like wallets, exchanges, software by which crypto trading will run in a much smoother way.

It could be useful that smartphones can be use to store cryptocurrencies. But what about if we lose that phone what will happen? And are we safe with the hackers trying to hack our phones?

Take coinomi mobile wallet as an example. As long as you keep mnemonics secure, you will be able to retrieve your funds. And for transfers user need to have password.

therefore, you should use a secure wallet key. do not store crypto assets in gadgets with a large amount. ledger is a priority place to store your assets with a large amount.

samsung always has a good response and supports crypto growth.

perhaps it has anything to do with the fact that they're major mobile phones manufacturer? Have you heard of them developing hardware wallets or computers? I did not

Samsung or smartphones are just the same for me because it depends on the wallet that you're raising your money for your bitcoin because there is no cellphone to talk about when losing your funds to bitcoin it depends it defferent wallets of bitcoin or websites.
