Is it normal that wallet syncing requires so many hours? 16.5h and counting

It is perfectly normal because some people were doing it for a day or even two days(of course, two days of time is for them who has a problem with their connection).
actually, you can sync it using their remote node if you do not have a time to sync it fully.
i used it today and only took 10 minutes to sync the wallet, but you need to do this whenever you are using your wallet.

It is taking a veeery long time to me too since I didn't log in for a while. I am a bit worried about this issue which could become a bottleneck in the whole project. After all, apart for us crypto-nerds, ordinary people want something which works well, easily and FAST. This being considered, we are still very far from mass adoption. X-cash team should work on making the user experience much much smoother.

You can try registering with another network (phone networks works usually).

I don't catch the reasons why you felt happy with the latest raising wave of XCash's difficulty.

I'm not happy in fact. All the old monero miners now are searching for a good cryptoheavy_7 coin to mine. This is not sane.
Before i was mining 100 coin every 7 min, now only 10. I don't like this.

For now there is no shortcut to overcome this problem, i believe it happened with other cryptocurrencies that was why until now only handful people who know something about at least computer can use it or operate it. but of course there will be a solution for this kind of problem in the future, because we never stop learning about something new or make a discovery.

and a problem with synchronization, most of it(project based on cryptonight) need a lot of space to download the chain from the beginning that was why most of them will give you a way to sync it using their remote node. so if you want to use it and do not have a lot of time to sync it, you can use remote node as your node.
it requires a few minute to fully syncronize your wallet, but of course you need to do this whenever you are using your own wallet.

In just only 3 mos. XCASH showing us it's muscle in doing such a good job for the project, we also saw that this project that composed of 3 person only, but the effects and result of their job is like having a huge team! It's AMAZING.. but of course there's always an imperfect outcome, but I know that the team will deal with it..

One of the success is having a Web Wallet, yes this will give a boost to the project specially to those people who are not having a technical knowledge to use the GUI and CLI wallet.. But.. The Dev team need to address the session timeout issue of the web wallet, it's intimidating, not at all times you are in the front of your PC just to wait your web wallet to sync..

But in overall XCASH doing a GREAT JOB!!

The next round of exchanges will come soon after the fork. We are trying to work on quality more than quantity.
