I dont think it would be any time soon, maybe in some 10 years time we could see it take place. It would need some catalyst for that to happen, as most people are still not enough educated about crypro as a whole.

Though illegal, it is still used to speculate for gains. Microsoft is willing and has actually announced officially that they accept Bitcoin. You could pay for a suit in a local shopping mall in the New York or Vancouver.
