INTERNET = BITCOIN?

The internet and the bitcoin only get as similar as it could get on the level it has gotten. The diff between the internet is vast and quite significant. The internet is the vehicular protocol that allows info to be speedily disseminated. Not so with the bitcoin and the blockchain. The internet is centralised and may be monitored by individuals. Not so with the bitcoin. Bitcoin is an instrument (within the community that accepts it) as a means of exchange. The internet is NOT an instrument of payment and/or exchange. The bitcoin fluctuates in price. Not the internet.

Bitcoin may not become the currency of the internet but it can be compared to gold, it’s like digital gold. Not everyone understands it and not everyone can afford it. Comparing it with internet doesn't mean anything much to me except the growth. Each has its own different mechanism.

Bitcoin is a product of the internet because without the internet I don't believe the activities of bitcoin and that of the Cryptocurrency at large will be succes. Secondly bitcoin has made online business very easy and simple all like the days of PayPal which I believed 90% of us today wouldn't have allowed to transact any business online easily as its now with the used and knowledge of Crypto.

Bitcoin is just an invention of blockchain technology which exists in internet for transactions and investment. However, Internet is a much larger aspect of our life, widely used and known worldwide because of its usefulness. Bitcoin lacks these features as of now. But, in future, there's a huge possibility for it to become mainstream.

Bitcoin transactions may need the internet to run. But you can't say the internet needs bitcoin to exist. The internet as a conduit has made bitcoin more powerful and impossible to stop but the two are pretty different.

why i made a title like that because basically the internet has the same properties with bitcoin ie:
1. Equally made by humans if bitcoin was made in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, while the Internet was created from a computer network established by the US Department of Defense in 1969.
2. The first equation between Bitcoin and the Internet is that Bitcoin is an efficient, decentralized and moving infrastructure based on protocols open to the public.

and for the difference include:
Bitcoin does not transfer data packets in a dynamic network and circuitry like the one on the internet, but builds trust among users to run its systems efficiently and decentralized.
Although you can argue that the ledger, Bitcoin is "central", it is actually created through decentralized mechanical consensus.
how do you think it all?

Bitcoin need an internet connection to run the transaction fast and reliable. That's why the existence of bitcoin depend on the internet connections as of now. but maybe in the future their is an upgrading process and  development. That's why we need this two as a comparisons in every transaction that we made.

Facebook shares price fell -24% and $180 billion got wiped out of facebook market value. Bitcoin market capitalization is some $180 billion. Bitcoin is not that big.

Nobody can't defeat facebook. But as we all know the employees and the CEO  bosses, advertisers only profit from it while the users are giving away there personal data or information for free?! But for bitcoin both users and investor we earn and profit from without spending or giving anything.

Bitcoin is not an all crypto. Where are altcoins.
But comparison of Internet with crypto is wrong too. Crypto is just financial part of Internet.

Bitcoin is a big part of Internet. But internet is a vast thing. There are lots of things in internet which are as important as Bitcoin. So we can't judge them both together.

I think bitcoin is going to lead internet someday. It has that kind of potential. Maybe it will face lots of ups and downs but i believe it will go much further.

Indeed. It's just that last year's bull market brought attention of worldwide governments and average joes. Bitcoin still has lot to grow (and I hope it will!).

I don’t think bitcoin and internet are same. To me bitcoin is a tool which is made to use the internet platform.

I in what that agree with this opinion, in fact if nebudet the Internet, and bitcoin too will not become. Although if you make bitcoin a payment system, then the Internet is not really needed.

They are not the same, but there are similarities on their concept: internet provides a decentralized network of informations for everyone who have access to it, while Bitcoin provides a decentralized network of transactions; there isn't anyone behind internet and theoretically there isn't anyone behind Bitcoin; internet gives each person a "space" on its network, to expose ideas, services, products, etc... While Crypto-Currency world does the same for those who want to develop their own currencies.

Internet and Crypto-Currency (going beyond Bitcoin) are intrinsically connected and that makes they look very similar in many aspects.

In my opinion, without internet, bitcoin may not become popular and may not function to it's design using the blockchain technology that needs internet to manage the transaction. Internet is a very important tool for bitcoin to run the crypto market and for the people that is involved in the process. Therefore, internet service is the key factor for the success of bitcoin as a cryptocurrency investment and as a payment system.

if you compare this according to the system there may be several things in common, but these are basically two things that cannot be equated, because these are two different things. the internet can live without bitcoin, what about bitcoin ... he won't live without the internet

Without internet, bitcoin could not be used. So it’s a part of the internet. Comparing these two things is not right I guess.

I think this two had very different uses. So they are not similar to me. Even bitcoin will not exist if there is no internet so we can say it is a part of the internet.
