I think Bitcoin is not the Internet, I think Bitcoin is part of the Internet which is a merger between the public trust about bitcoin is money and the internet itself is intangible, but it can be used

yes that is very true, bitcoin and the internet are different things but without bitcoin the bitcoin internet network cannot be used, so if there is no internet connection bitcoin is useless and will never exist.

I can only qualify that with the fact that Bitcoin cannot be operated offline or with the use of internet. But the equation doesn't mean they are equal. But we can see the importance of Internet with Bitcoin operation. Bitcoin is directly correlated with the internet but Internet doesn't depend on Bitcoin.

i don't even know why you thought it is a good idea to compare two things that are very different! your comparison is like saying my new Porsche is equal to the road! Porsche is the vehicle which was made to use the road to move around. bitcoin is also the tool that was made to use the internet to perform.

Yeah may be this is the truth. I would never think about the bitcoin and internet comparison because until now I used to think that Internet is platform for the bitcoin through which it gets transferred from one place to another. I always think that if someday internet is vanished then surely bitcoin will be useless. Though it is some sort of chain out there carving through public computers then also it is not connected fully if the internet was not there. Its like the missing piece of equation which is mandatory for the final results. So..!

When you want to create a transaction in bitcoin, it will need internet connection indeed.
But it doesn't mean bitcoin = internet. Bitcoin is a digital currency which use decentralized system.
The internet just used for broadcasting the tx hash to the nodes.

Quite agree with you but not fully because bitcoin is run through internet but and its whole system also rub through internet but it has its own existence and bitcoin and internet is not the same.

why i made a title like that because basically the internet has the same properties with bitcoin ie:
1. Equally made by humans if bitcoin was made in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, while the Internet was created from a computer network established by the US Department of Defense in 1969.
2. The first equation between Bitcoin and the Internet is that Bitcoin is an efficient, decentralized and moving infrastructure based on protocols open to the public.

and for the difference include:
Bitcoin does not transfer data packets in a dynamic network and circuitry like the one on the internet, but builds trust among users to run its systems efficiently and decentralized.
Although you can argue that the ledger, Bitcoin is "central", it is actually created through decentralized mechanical consensus.
how do you think it all?

I have read the post recently that said, the Bitcoin can be destroyed if Internet will disappear, but for me it sounds hilarious that in our 2018 year internet is able to disappear completely.

many countries that say they want to ban bitcoin and break sites that enter bitcoin will never be able to. because if you only block sites that enter bitcoin, there will be other sites that can be used to enter and access bitcoin. if a country breaks the network in the entire country itself there probably will no longer be able to use bitcoin. so the conclusion as long as the internet is still there bitcoin will still be there.

Actually the life of bitcoin lies within the internet. Obviously there's an existing bitcoin because of the internet. Basically the power of bitcoin is in the internet for without it there's no bitcoin. We can't have bitcoin if there's no internet so definitely it functions through it. If it's not for the internet we can't be having bitcoin.

We can't deny the fact that the power of bitcoin comes from the internet. Actually without internet bitcoin can't be made for it is product of technology. It's life lies within internet so if the internet will be shutdown then bitcoin will die too. Only the internet can make the bitcoin functional so without it it's obvious that bitcoin is just nothing.

bitcoin will never be currency of the internet, its already not functioning as a curency for a small community it has, its broken its a tool for speculation that causes fears among banksters. and old people that think the world is drifting appart.

interest based game theory basically reassures that bitcoin will drop its popularity, world changes, not in the interest of many to support a certain cryptosect.

it will be the problem of bitcoin and its centere (miners, and owners, and media outled owners) to propagate it.

but given the huge amount of coins in reality that will exist. i doubt you will keep the attention you currently have.

I disagree with what you say, bitcoin is still the digital currency of the internet though speculative in nature, we use to buy another crypto in the internet. Isn't that a currency should do? To use as a mode of exchange. Even in stocks ttading works the same way. We pay for stocks for a certain amoubt of money. Currency can buy asset and not just only commodities to be consider it as a currency.

I do not see any attach strings here. It is just coincidence and Bitcoin needs internet to survive and to live. But saying that both of this system are the same is not appropriate. In other thoughts, Bitcoin address can also be generated without internet.

i heard a man say that the bitcoin and blockchain technology is just as the internet is to network. that if you take away the global data accessibility from the internet then it is just like a normal networking and if you remove the security proferred by miners from the blockchain technology then it is just  data base but as long as the immutability is still there it remains blockchain technology.

I think it is not the right interpretation. Yes internet is the medium in order for the bitcoin to generate. But i do disagree in internet = bitcoin. Because bitcoin is another system it just need internet to be able to use.
