Unfortunately 99% of the cases it appears that bitcoin is not anymore available to return because if somebody else will only your money you can bring him to the court but here in cryptocurrency, things are not that simple.
"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

A bitcoin mining service was hacked to the tune of $64 million this week, underscoring once again how the world of digital currency attracts scammers and thieves.

You don't own Bitcoin on exchange addresses. Its the account you own. So to clarify: did funds disappear from your exchange account?

If you lose funds from your Bitcoin address, nobody can help you. Be your own bank works both ways.

Thanks for your valuable comment. Yes, the funds has been disappear from the exchange or you can say it has been transferred to another BTC address and the whole transaction was not done from my side and i think this all state that my account has been hacked in that particular exchange right.  Is there any website where can i complain or who can help in getting back my BTC.
This may serves as a lesson for you mate and for all of the cryptonians that has an attitude of leaving their funds in exchangers for long time, always remember that after doing trades before you go offline take all the coins from exchangers and bring back to your wallets as these sites are very vulnerable to hackers, this is their targets for easy illegal works so be aware on this

Hi Friends, actually one of my BTC address from Zebpay account having almost 0.01550 BTC has been hacked and the amount has been stolen just few days ago. The amount was not quite big for me, but i really fear about the security of holding the BTC in exchanges and now even in wallets.

I Just want to know is there any ways i can get back my BTC back to my account and also is there any website or authority who can help me out in getting back my stolen BTC, let me know about it. Also let me know what safety measurement should i take while holding my BTC in Exchanges. Thanks in advance.
I think bitcoin in this market has become more frequent than ever and law can not protect you on this. I think you should ignore that and continue to make money. But you should buy yourself a Ledger hard wallet and never click on unidentified links.

Bitcoin is the very huge and very potentiating crypto currency and the reason being why millions of people around the world are investing into bitcoin is because they feel that the place they are investing is safe and secure as the bitcoin promises to the safest and the most confidential transactions as its transactions does not involve any third party seizure and provides user anonymity so no third person has the right to see the transactions between two and this thing has been misused by some social defaulters so it is impossible to tract if your bitcoins has been stolen.

If you lose your money on the exchange address, you can contact the owner of that exchange, luckily you will have your money back. But if you lose money in your own wallet, be careful. This means that you have been hacked, check your security

Yes it is. But if he is lucky. We anot really say that he can get his money back. Crptocurrency is not well regulated and no rules is in it. Therefore we cannot really say that we have the rights to complain for the things that happened. But then there are some exchange that we can ask for help.

I don't thonk you can do anything. What is stolen/hacked remains that way. It is your fault that you got hacked and no one is going tonpay for it.

Unfortunately, there is no way for you to retrieve the Bitcoin. What exactly happened that cause your wallet to be hacked? Was it due to your own negligent or? You have to secure your exchange account and becareful of phishing websites. And I don’t think it is a good idea to keep your Bitcoin in exchanges. The wallets does not belong to you.

This is will be an unfortunate situation as there is no where or no channel to report a stolen or hacked bitcoin wallet. The blockchain Technology doesn't support and allow such platform on blockchain yet

Sad part is that there's virtually no way to retrieve lost btcs both in your wallet and especially in an exchange. That's why you have to be really careful in holding your bitcoins or other alts because by nature, bitcoin's anonymity will not allow you to track who stole your coins.
Every bitcoin is irreversible especially in exchange that is why we have to be careful on every action we have to take because that will be a waste. You cannot get back what you lost. There is no way to recover it so I am being careful on every address where I am going to send my transactions.

If it happened inside the exchange then you can complain to the management and supports. It's probably their fault if something wrong happened to one of their customers account.

But if after their investigations, they found no fault at all you have to accept the fact that its totally gone forever.

Since Bitcoin doesn't have any company or any group who controls then it is up to to take care of your own funds. Besides the address where you can tract your funds from where it is stolen, you have nothing to do else with it.

It depends on the situation mate if how your Btc lost,if your Bitcoin is lost when you withdraw it and did not reflect on your cold wallet that is Exchangers fault and you have a right to complain to them so that you can get back your Btc,and if your Btc is lost because your Exchangers account is hack you cannot get that back again charge it as your experience so that next time you are more careful in storing your private documents.

if it gone from your exchange account, and that's a hack due to low security issues on the exchange end, you might get refund, if it happened for your recklessness, no one to blame.

Since Bitcoin doesn't have any company or any group who controls then it is up to to take care of your own funds. Besides the address where you can tract your funds from where it is stolen, you have nothing to do else with it.

This is not entirely true, because OP's bitcoins was stored on a centralized exchange and they have some remedial actions that can be taken if someone lose a lot of coins. <Some exchanges have insurance against this kind of thing>

We always say, If you do not have full control over your private key, then those coins are not your property. In this instance the exchange have full control over the private key and once it was withdrawn to another address, then it is gone.  Roll Eyes

There are a lot of this similar cases where the BTC has been stolen from exchange adresses.Now..you can't do pretty much anything but you can prevent that from happening, for example don't hold your BTC on exchanges, just if you need them to buy some Altcoins or for a short period of time. You can hold your BTC on a wallet, i think it's more safe.

If we keep our bitcoin on an exchange then we can complain there, but it for sure will depend on the case we've got. If the issue is caused by the lack of the security from the exchange then you may get your bitcoin back. Keeping our bitcoin on exchange for sure is a bit riskier than keeping it in our own wallet.

Well, the Government of India has restricted companies to transact crypto related business in India. That means you cannot seek legal help as Bitcoin is not recognised by the law. However, you can contact Zebpay for further information about your funds. If there was a mistake from their side then you might have some chance to recover those funds otherwise it is not possible.

The only way through which your bitcoin can be stolen aside from exchanges is through having access to your wallet.
Reason we should guard our wallets jealously because once you asset is stolen there is no way of recovering it .
Bitcoin is decentralized structure and so there is no body organization one can complain to.
