This would change sooo much. Not because people would start using bitcoin for this reason only. It is marketing, it is branding. If some bitcoin based payment processor partnered with starbucks who has places all around the world is a global big news. If this ever happens than it means we are in luck and we are really early adapters. We also heard news about how facebook plans on buying coinbase as well.
News like this increases my hope but usually comes out empty, if a company as big as starbucks really goes deep into bitcoin I am 100% sure the price will be so high the ATH we have right now will look funny.

This is good news that Starbucks may start accepting bitcoins as payment. Perhaps other corporations will start accepting bitcoins as well once they have learned that a coffee chain has started the trend. The more stores use it, the more people will join the crypto world.

I read that Starbucks denied this news. Starbucks plans to participate in the development of Bakkt along with ICE and Microsoft, but this does not mean that it intends to introduce a payment tool into its business. The company clarified that they are considering such an opportunity after governments adopt laws on the regulation of crypto-currencies. Until then, you will not be able to pay coins for coffee.
Look, everything is just waiting for the governments to legalize bitcoin. Defiantly when bitcoin isn’t allowed to be used in your country, how can people earn from it or how they can use it for their own benefit. For it, every government must impose taxation on it but must legalize bitcoin. This is so profitable for an average person to uplift his life standard. Don’t wait any more.

There can be a big change when government accepts bitcoin for payment. Starbucks is one example of company that waits for the decision of government and willing to adopt the new payment system which is good news to everyone. I cannot wait to see how it is going to helpful when crypto applied on every stores.

Is this for real? I can't wait for this to happen then all of a sudden all the other stores will also do the same that accepts cryptocurrency. Cash will really be left out, and sooner or later, government will really try to let cryptocurrency not to be part but it will be soon. Can't wait for this, you can pay directly bitcoin to buy your favorite frappe on your favorite starbucks shop. This kind of changes has a big impact in the world and I think whether it may be positive or negative, let's have high hopes for cryptocurrency.

Imagine how great it would be when they will actually start the application of bitcoin for using it. This is just a hint but no guarantee that any system will be inlace soon. For those who think that this is good news and we may see great movement just because of this, you guys are crazy. Lolz. This will not move the market but it will start new dome of era where physical stores will be accepting bitcoin. Star bucks, Burger King and many more have already claimed the use of bitcoin but nothing is in effect yet and its just news really. So we need to see those label called as Bitcoin Accepted Here to be seen over the shop then we can say truly bitcoin is getting into them.

Buy a cup of coffee and you scan the QR code and pay for it, everything is very convenient. Do not worry about anything and do not worry about waiting for payment. Using cash for payments is complicated and time-consuming, the use of Bitcoin as a form of payment will optimize the disadvantages of FIAT.

Starbucks accepting bitcoin as an alternative mode or means of payment will encourage more adoption of bitcoin this will surely motive other beverages and food companies to incorporate this global trend of using btc for payments, personally I forsee bitcoin as fully recognized, accepted and adopted virtual currencies being recognized officially by many campanies globally in few years to come.

Some of my friends works at Starbucks as a Barista and their Salaries is high. And if the company would accept Bitcoin and implement it to all of its branches around the globe, it would not only make the company and its workers rich with the pump and fluctuation of Bitcoin price, it would also help the market, the volume, and the tradings itself as it would be a part of demand and a big company like it would have a big impact.

Though I'm not a total Starbucks lover since I like it only when I need to stay awake all night, I'm still happy with this news because this is another proof that Btc is now expanding its applications in the food industry. I just feel bad because it seems this is implemented first in the U.S. I hope that it will be implemented to its other branches all over the world (particularly here in the Philippines) very soon because I can't wait to buy my first Starbucks Milk Tea Panna Cotta Cream Frappuccino Blended Beverage using btc .

Countries and Governments can legalize bitcoin if bastard peoples don't abuse bitcoin for crime, fraud and money laundering.

Back in May, reports surfaced that New York Stock Exchange owner Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) was developing a Bitcoin trading platform. This morning, it officially announced the creation of Bakkt, a new company that will help trade and convert the best known cryptocurrency to fiat money — government-backed legal tender. As one might expect from a new company with close ties to the NYSE, Bakkt has enlisted some big names already, including backing from Microsoft, Starbucks and BCG. Microsoft, for its part, will provide cloud infrastructure for the service. Even more compelling, however, is the involvement of Starbucks. After all, the coffee giant has played an outsized role in helping mainstream mobile payments among the U.S. population, it has worked with Square (which accepts Bitcoin) and it just announced a deal with Alibaba in China for coffee deliveries. The chain isn’t always the first to adopt payment solutions, but its involvement goes a long ways toward legitimizing technologies among the public. If played right, this could be the push Bitcoin as a payment system for mainstream consumers here in the States.
In a statement, Starbucks referred to itself as “the flagship retailer” involved in the project, hinting at the very real potential that the company is setting itself up to accept Bitcoin converted through the Bakkt system.“As the flagship retailer, Starbucks will play a pivotal role in developing practical, trusted and regulated applications for consumers to convert their digital assets into US dollars for use at Starbucks,” said Starbucks Payments VP Maria Smith said in the statement. “As a leader in Mobile Pay to our more than 15 million Starbucks Rewards members, Starbucks is committed to innovation for expanding payment options for our customers.” Bakkt’s implications go well beyond mobile payments, of course. As Fortune notes, the system could help attract investors who have been put off by Bitcoin’s extremely volatile nature. Among other things, it could help make the currency a safer choice for 401(k)s, IRAs and other retirement plans. That, in turn, could help propel Bitcoin toward wider Wall Street trading.https://techcrunch.com/2018/08/03/starbucks-drops-major-hint-at-plans-to-accept-bitcoin/ .... Purchasing a cup of coffee via bitcoin might materialize faster than anyone had thought. I like the idea of starbucks embracing bitcoin. It is known some starbucks function almost exactly like homeless shelters. Adopting bitcoin could put crypto currencies into the hands of where its needed in terms of helping the poor, the unbanked, those who can't afford the minimum balance on a bank account or have trouble obtaining debit cards or credit cards to make electronic transactions. Over the long term this could help people to find jobs to give them more options and opportunities which could help them to escape poverty and elevate their standard of living. Which in turn could help reduce crime and negative trends associated with violence. The point @ the bottom about making bitcoin a safer choice for 401k's, IRAs and retirement plans is interesting. I've wondered if bitcoin and crypto currencies in general could have future potential for retirement funds due to them being designed to appreciate in value over time. An asset which appreciates in value could help to offset increasingly higher costs associated with higher average lifespan. It could imply crypto has potential there. I don't know about that if they are really going to accept Bitcoin as a payment for their coffee since the price of Bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies is so volatile, but if that happens, I wouldn't really use my Bitcoin just to buy some expensive coffee.
