This is one way of making bitcoin and other cryptos go into mainstream. We need big companies adopting to crypto for it to be known to public. Hope that in the near future every business establishment will make list bitcoin as one of the mode of payments for items purchased. I can't wait to try it out myself. If this is true then it will be a big leap for cryptocurrency. If a big company like Starbucks starts accepting bitcoin as payments, it is only a matter of time before the other big companies start using bitcoin as well. Perhaps this will even help the world know about this digital currency.

No, guys it is not happening. Starbucks clarified that they won't accept digital payments such as bitcoin. OP needs to distinguish a rumor or a real news. Though, they said that they continue to talk with customers about this so I hope you guys that has bitcoins will visit Starbucks so we can increase bitcoin awareness when it finally happens.
While they have still not decided upon the use of bitcoin as a payment method, but they are actually encouraging the use of cryptos. Although their method of exchange still involves turning bitcoin into fiat. It is providing some level of validation to cryptos in general. |

Starbucks has set a good example for other firms, corporations, organizations. When such well-known firms like Starbucks recognize Bitcoin and start accepting it as payment it becomes mainstream. I hope that other owners of large companies will begin to integrate Bitcoin into their payment policies.

I have read this on a news that they will accept bitcoin but days after, I have read again that they will not accept anymore. Which is which??
Anyway if this will happen, I think they must accept bitcoin if the Lightning Network is used publicly already or instead of accepting bitcoin, they will accept other crypto coins that is faster or they will create a new coin like Mcdo has done.

If Starbucks's plan is successful, it will get a huge benefit from Bitcoin. Besidesin crypto industry, you can see some new step-taking. Starbucks is making effords for others companies accessing more about BTC. I drink coffee in their store every week but I cannot see that they accept bitcoin payment. Sometimes, cash is not available to me by the end of the week because my salary was sent every Monday or Wednesday. I go to the mall every weekends and visit their store. So, it is better if they can accept bitcoin as payment specially in my country. |

I think, this is good news. Hopefully this can be a trigger for other companies, to follow the steps taken by Starbucks. So that later it can further increase the popularity of bitcoin and altcoin. Until finally, slowly but surely will affect the market price

Starbuck sis the good store, they always follow the technology and the trend, and maybe the bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can be the one of their plan, maybe in the next time they should make their own coin, so with that coin we can buy some coffee and get some benefit if we use the coin for buy in Starbucks, like a loyalty points or something else
