Dev please consider following:
1. Change algorithm from scrypt to for example keccak
2. Relaunch with new algorithm and nice HTML5 game
3. Coin will be noticed by a larger group
4. ? ? ?
5. Profit!

When coin  will get into an exchange, thanks to keccak it will become multipool resistant (and ASIC-resistant)
I am aware that this plan require a lot of work, but it's only a suggestion.

If you want this coin to go anywhere we need to stand out.

 I would recommend switching to X-11 or another more advanced algorithm which would really make your coin stand out.  X11 seems to be one of the trending algorithms right now.  Without something to diversify this coin it will get lost in the mix with all the other shitty scrypt coins.

I'm not completely against that but it leaves the question of relaunching and what to do with payouts to this point? What is everyone's thoughts on that?

You don't have to relaunch anything.  Just implement a hardfork upcoming in the chain which would implement a new algorithm or new feature at a specific block.  Don't change anything about the blocks or total coins, just hard fork to implement scrpyt-n or something.
