Original StackCoin Specifications:
Max coins: 134.4 Billion Block Time: 120 seconds Difficulty Retarget: Kimoto's gravity well Block Initial Reward: 1 Million Block Decrease Rate: 15% /Month
Unless the scammed agree I believe the best thing to do would be a direct up/down scale of those rewards (or just keep them as they were), as that is that the IPO investors agreed upon and lost their hard-earned BTC.

i think thats WAY to much coins, when you do this many coins, you instantly have tiny value per unit....but im not the boss here, so that needs to be discussed can we do a poll?

WTF? HOW CAN YOU VERIFY THAT POSTER WAS SCAMMED?? ask for a smaller transation to new coins btc support address? but how will you prevent the scammer to take his part in that case (he obviously made fake transactions to himself)? Cause every person can post like: I was scammed for 20 btc, I'd like 2/7 of the new coin premine. Idea is ok, but there's no way to make it right. It's just a very expensive lesson for some ppl!

I had the idea of a coin made by the community for a while now.
The name I had in mind was "Perfect Coin". Basically the community votes on what features we need and how we'll set things up. The initial decisions will be made by people with a reputation on bitcointalk.
When the coin is launched, the coin can change it's properties every week. Depending on the amount of coins you have, you can have that much of an influence on the coin. To keep things fair (dictatorship won't be fun) we'd need a way to make sure that one person can only make one vote.
HunterCoin (HUC) is an MMO driven coin. It's possible to allow an actual voting system within the wallet app using the same technologies as HUC. If we were to do it like that, it would be tricky to make elections fair since people can use multiple wallets to vote.
The ultimate goal is that users can intervene in the coin when they see the value decrease. It would also be interesting to set one user as the president and people can vote that user out when they don't like him. What do you guys think about this?

Lets not forget that the creators of the StackCoin scam could be posting here or or trying to ¨help¨ in this project so its important to have some trusted members involved.
Anyway i think its more important to get discussion on the specs for this coin that the name.
I vote for
- no premine - anti-instamine protection - number of coins around 200.000.000 (would be enough to have the new coin lowest unit comparable to an US$ cent and still have enough digits to able to pay twice the combined World GDP and US National debt)

I am not sure why he would be buying into his own scam.
We would only allow investors who can prove they bought in during the IPO investment window.

There is a small thing called message signing - it really easy to verify the person indeed sent these BTC.

Agree on the trust issue. Perhaps a limit to involved members with an activity level or above. No shills or new accounts.

I invested 0.15 BTC (#61). I am new to CryptoCoin and this has left me burnt. I still feel kind of shocked, in disbelief. I don't think I shall be investing in an IPO again, a very real lesson has been learnt.

I like the idea of this coin, a faint glimmer of hope perhaps. Someone explain to me what I need to do to prove myself that I was a victim of this scam.

He obviously made some fake transfers from his own othe wallets to stimulate others to send him the money (some early and some big transactions IMO).

I vote for
- no premine
The whole point of this is for the Stackcoin investors who where scammed with the support of the community to recreate their coin and launch it as it was supposed to be (or some version). The premine is essential. I did not invest myself but thought it would be a good idea to help them release a coin. And who cares if the scammer gets a few more coins, don't cut off your nose to spite your face. If we can help the victims of the scam recreate the coin and possibly make their money back then we should. Not just for them but for the whole alt-coin community.

Can we stray away from this currency ending with the word coin? There's too many 'coins' lets get a fresh, new name. As with anything else, lets try and keep it simple also:
(I also like some of the more sci-fi-sounding currency names)
Units (UNT or UNIT for short)
Standard Value Unit (SVU or UNIT for short)
Skrill (Already slang for money, SKL or SKRL for short)
Krill (What whales eat, KRL for short)
Stacks (A play on a now infamous scam and already slang for money, STK for short)
Etc. I could literally come up with these for days.

Interesting idea... but we need to help those scammed by StackCoin, that's the point right? We need some kind of trust fund or premine fund so that the StackCoin IPO investors get at least some of what they were promised. Regarding the scammer faking investors, if he were to send BTC to himself the effect would be identical, if StackCoin had launched he would get to keep that portion of the premine. - The CoinDev.io Team
