I'm trying to understand how much one bitcoin (BTC) is worth today.
I've seen a discussion here about it (http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=98.0), but no concrete answer. I'm not interesting in the **cost of creating a bitcoin** (stuff like electricity/bandwidth), but rather in it's **buying power**.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Simply put it's worth exactly as much as anyone at any given moment is willing to give you for.

I think your best bet to find that out is to first visit: http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/

You could go to http://coincard.ndrix.com/ and do a test without actually sending something to see how much USD you can buy right now.

The site wich have suggest dont work at the moment. How much € is one Bitcoin worth at the moment  Huh  Does it anybody know?

I suggest that admins lock this thread as it was created back in 2011 and is not longer relevant.

This thread is 7 years old, that is why the site probably doesn't work. You can find everything you need on CMC or currencio regarding the prices.
