After several months of development and testing, Coin Catcher is now ready to be released to the public. From day one, this project was designed to give users an easy and detailed view of their mining activities, and to be as transparent and profitable as possible.

We are running a beta period for approximately 1 month, in which fees will be 0%.
EDIT: BETA period has been extended - pool fees are still fixed at 0% (plus 0.4% trading fee)

JOIN NOW AT:
http://www.coincatcher.net

Key Features:

- Profit switching, currently mining over 30 different coins
- Full transparency - view your current balances for each coin, past trade history and mining details
- Variable difficulty (VARDIFF), giving lower variance to less powerful miners
- Clean and simple to use from both desktop and mobile
- Auto exchanges earnings to BTC
- Automatic payouts daily, for balances over 0.001 BTC
- Unique switching algorithm for increased profitability

More Details:

- Coins with a difficulty too high, or a trade volume too low will be skipped to maximise efficiency.
- 0% pool fees throughout the beta period, increases to 2% after that. Trade fees are 0.4%.
- Proportional payout; unpaid shares are carried over to the next round regardless of the coin.
- BTC payout addresses are tied to an account at registration and cannot be changed. This prevents coins being stolen if an account is compromised.
- Active and ongoing development. As we’re in beta you can expect lots of new features based on feedback from users.

Coins we mine:

Litecoin, GrandCoin, TagCoin, Diamond, Noirbits, CHNCoin, Franko, Spots, DogeCoin, DigitalCoin, Elacoin, Worldcoin, Bottlecaps, Luckycoin, Phoenixcoin, Cosmoscoin, Fastcoin, Alphacoin, BitBar, Netcoin, LottoCoin, CasinoCoin, HoboNickels, Neocoin, Anoncoin, StableCoin, Megacoin, Feathercoin, Orbitcoin, Emerald, Novacoin, Mooncoin. More will be added.

We’d appreciate any feedback or suggestions that you may have to help us develop and improve the pool further.

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

Difficulty is currently fixed at 512 but vardiff is definitely something we'd implement if there's a demand for it.

Please let us know if you have any more suggestions Smiley

Cheers! We're actually working on a page of latest blocks at the moment - it should go live in the next day or so.

Also you might notice that balances are a bit delayed, so please allow about an hour after connecting your miner for the coins to be credited.

Thanks to everyone who has signed up so far - in just a few hours we have had nearly 50 active workers and over 60MH/s!

Please note that the hashrate and balance reports take approximately an hour to display their true values.

The next features to be launched (in the next couple of days) are:
- Latest blocks solved by the pool
- Reset / change account password

Let us know if you have any questions or feedback in the meantime

Let us know if you have any questions or feedback in the meantime

Questions: Will you have vardiff? Also, when you get bigger and vardiff starts stressing your servers, will you then disable it? How often does the estimated BTC/Mhash earnings information displayed on the homepage change?

edit: Do the worker stats take into account rejects/stales?

Feedback: More stats. Maybe don't require signup for people who aren't too interested in the site's interface?

Low rejection rate of 1% is good but after mining for 4+ hours, I've only generated 28.5% of the estimated 0.0126 BTC/MH/day.

We are looking into the possibility of vardiff but you're right about the additional server load. If we do go down that route it will only be if we are confident it can be scaled. Another possibility could be to reduce the difficulty from 512, or to have a dedicated low difficulty server for CPU miners. Homepage stats are calculated and updated once an hour.

edit: Do the worker stats take into account rejects/stales?

The reported hashrates do not include rejects/stales. You can view details of valid & invalid shares in the Statistics box (when logged in).

Feedback: More stats. Maybe don't require signup for people who aren't too interested in the site's interface?

More stats are on the way - I'll keep this post updated. Developing a system to register/login with a BTC address is also a possibility if enough people would find it useful.

This sounds like a negative comment from the wording, but your math shows that you're performing above average :/

4+ hours? Say 5 for an example.

5/24 = 20.8333%

You've generated 28.5%. That's ~7.667% over the projected stats.

Also, you ever hear of variance?

Not 28.5% of the day or 24 hours, 28.5% of 0.000525 BTC/MH/hour.

Not 28.5% of the day or 24 hours, 28.5% of 0.000525 BTC/MH/hour.

Use better syntax and context.

I'm assuming you meaning that .000525 is the 28.5% you generated ---> "28.5% of 0.000525 BTC/MH/hour."

Also, variance. Again.

Take 24+ hours and check later.

Low rejection rate of 1% is good but after mining for 4+ hours, I've only generated 28.5% of the estimated 0.0126 BTC/MH/day.

This is unusually low - I'll look into it properly. The balances do not show up immediately so this - along with variance - is probably playing a significant part when calculating over just a few hours. I had a quick look and the percentage seems to have increased now (when factoring in the lag). In theory as the hashrate increases the pool should become more profitable every hour due to solving blocks more consistently.

I think that the earnings estimation algo needs a bit of tuning, and that while we're still at a relatively low hashrate the actual earnings will fluctuate somewhat. As we're on day 1, the estimation can't take real earnings into account (currently it's based on best case probability) but once we have a couple of days worth of stats it can start factoring them in.

We decided to do the zero fee public beta for reasons such as this one. We'll be closely monitoring and improving profitability and estimations over the coming days now that the hash rate is increasing.

Please keep me updated! Thanks

Will you add other location, like Eu/asia ? Smiley

For the beta period we are sticking to a single server in the US, but once we launch and start to scale the system we will be adding servers in more countries, most likely starting with eu-west (Ireland).
