What factors can cause major fluctuations of Ethereum price? and how it will impact other ethereum blockchain based tokens/coins?

I think the most influential variable on Ethereum's fluctuations, and other altcoins is Bitcoin. And the Ethereum value will of course affect the token, but I'm sure project developers feel more of an impact than investors.

I believe news is the main factor that cause ETH price to fluctuate, it apply to the rest of the coins as well. Good news bring the price up since investors have more confidence in the project. Likewise, bad news bring the price down.

The fluctuations was a natural thing in cryptocurrency but its bigger pumps and dumps is influenced by whole market or bitcoin. News also is another factor of ethereum fluctuations, and in the ethereum tokens underneath is only affected on the conversion rate of ethereum and no t directly with their respective price if ethereum dumps or pumps.
