If you are talking about the authenticity of the paintings, then it is too early to talk about it. Everything is solved very simply: the work must be sold either by the artist or he must give power of attorney to sell his works.

Sorry, but in my opinion is the main thing: if the 1st information is wrong that all the immutable chain lose its purpose. It's not for criticism, but I think that, if you want to operate also for already existent items and not just with new ones, you should consider a bit more this thing.

Look it's simple: if a new work of art come out it will be registered on the blockchain and in this way it will be authenticated, right? Every time this item will pass from an owner to another there will be a way to certify that passage. If, on the contrary, we are talking about an already existent item in which way its registration will be certified? That was my question.

it will be very difficult for artists, because they are a little bit "interesting" people, and they could not understand whole blockchain technology. Also, they can make hundreds same works, i mean, hundreds examples of theirs own works and these works would be original.

That's also an interesting thing to consider. It all depends by the way in which the registration of the items happen. Personally I think that is in the interest of the artists themselves to be as trasparents as possible, but your thinking needs obviously a more in deep discussion.

Any ownership must necessarily be certified officially. Maybe in the future smart contracts will replace the role of a lawyer.

Any ownership must necessarily be certified officially. Maybe in the future smart contracts will replace the role of a lawyer.

You are right, otherwise, if you do not conclude an agreement among themselves, this will already be prosecuted by law and large fines for illegal actions are possible.
