Speculation Forum, Troll Box, Garbage can?

This forum used to be about Speculation when I joined in 2011. While there are still posts of what I consider high quality, my impression is the the amount of junk / troll posts and even threads has considerably increased. Sure, posts like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483658.msg5323143#msg5323143 always happened, but not in the density we see today.

I am wondering if most users of this forum see it as a garbage can where frustrated people can dump their intellectual excrement or if that is a minority polluting this forum for the rest of us.

This subforum is used to spread FUD to weak hands so they sell their cheapies

Other than that this subforum should not be taken as "the truth" and people can speculate that it will go to $-10 or +$10000K if they want.
I like this subforum even though the FUD is spreading like herpes.

I long for a better place for speculation discussion, which one do you recommend? I will still revisit this forum from time to time, to check the market sentiment of weak hands.

If there isn't a high quality forum, easy way is to reuse slashdot.org mode, where each post is weighted and voted, and low quality posts are hidden unless you asks for them. Silly posts gets more follow up but not often higher rating (e.g. the previous 'mtgox offline post' calls a lot of attention but with a voting system it is hidden.)
