I don't think it was DDOS.
Most probably more load than it could handle for a new coin.
Which is better imho, to spread the load equally if you can, to all available pools. I believe that every pool has great potentials and we should all help every service that rises during a new coin's life.
The services (pools, merchants, etc) are what makes a coin alive and later on, a success.

Come mine with the GODS!

thor.zeuspool.com

Thorcoin - The Strong and Powerful energy efficient Scrypt-Jane ASIC Proof coin.

Thorcoin, a revolutionary hybrid proof-of-work/proof-of-stake coin. With Thorcoin you are able to receive and send Thorcoin all around the world and back, to all of your peers including businesses, friends, and family. Thorcoin is a Scrypt Jane Hybrid which only can be mined using CPU's and GPU's. Feel safe with ASIC resistant Scrypt Jane.

The millions of dollars spent on developing ASIC mining are made so CPUs and GPUs are no longer efficient for mining. The result of this was large datacenters with ASICs mining Bitcoin and made CPUs and GPUs unusable for mining, so many went to mine Litecoin, now litecoin has ASICs of its own. A new revolutionary currency will change this, Thorcoin. Why? Thorcoin's ASIC Resistance.

mining there now (had to use a different email)

Coin devs need to start coming up with original names for their projects. Even though Thor is a mythical figure, Marvel can and will put a cease and desist order up if this coin ever gets past the pump and dump stage

What happened?  That's why it's important to spread hashrates around the net.

When you have one whale pool, it's easy to DDOS.

Make sure to spread the hash rates across multiple pools.
It "only" had 25% of total hashrate.
http://thorcoin.pools.mindfox.net/index.php mining there now. Havent found a block yet but we will  Wink

finally Smiley

edit: and down 1 minute later...ridiculous every pool is down now

edit2: ah its back up

Doesn't mean you can't write your own stories based on the original.  You just can't make stories based on disney variants.

Yeah I can't edit my account on ZeusPool no email from the website. New coin hiccups I guess. It doesn't show my hashrate either.

I'm sorry for the 4-5 secs downtime, I had to make some adjustments so it doesn't become "RIP" like the rest of the pools Smiley

Ok, new security was just added. I'm hoping that this will thwart any DDOS in the near future. Smiley  Thanks for those who stuck with the pool.

I hope this coin does extremely well! I'm always here to help if anyone needs it.

For those who are having any issues with changing settings on thor.zeuspool.com, please PM me here and i can try to fix them specifically!
