I don't think it was DDOS. Most probably more load than it could handle for a new coin. Which is better imho, to spread the load equally if you can, to all available pools. I believe that every pool has great potentials and we should all help every service that rises during a new coin's life. The services (pools, merchants, etc) are what makes a coin alive and later on, a success. Just my .02 Thor  |

Coin devs need to start coming up with original names for their projects. Even though Thor is a mythical figure, Marvel can and will put a cease and desist order up if this coin ever gets past the pump and dump stage

What happened? That's why it's important to spread hashrates around the net.
When you have one whale pool, it's easy to DDOS.
Make sure to spread the hash rates across multiple pools.
It "only" had 25% of total hashrate. http://thorcoin.pools.mindfox.net/index.php mining there now. Havent found a block yet but we will  finally  edit: and down 1 minute later...ridiculous every pool is down now edit2: ah its back up |

Havent found a block yet but we will finally edit: and down 1 minute later...ridiculous every pool is down now edit2: ah its back up I'm sorry for the 4-5 secs downtime, I had to make some adjustments so it doesn't become "RIP" like the rest of the pools |

Ok, new security was just added. I'm hoping that this will thwart any DDOS in the near future. Thanks for those who stuck with the pool. I hope this coin does extremely well! I'm always here to help if anyone needs it. For those who are having any issues with changing settings on thor.zeuspool.com, please PM me here and i can try to fix them specifically! |
