news story: http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2014/02/24/mining-asics-technologies-bv-mat-announces-6ths-titanium-asic-bitcoin-miner-and-scrypt-asic-miner/

Text of release:

Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) launch of new TITANIUM ASIC Bitcoin miner with 3 TH/s and 6 TH/s of power

MAASTRICHT, NEDERLANDS www.mining-asics-technologies.com
NETHERLANDS - based Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) today announce the start
of developing Titanium, the new-generation high powerful ASIC Bitcoin miner using 28nm
chips that will provide at least 6 TH/s of power.

The new designed powerful 28nm ASICs Bitcoin miner will ship Q3 / 2014, according to the
founder Marc Coumans of Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT).

Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) have signed a partnership with German
Company Dream Chip Technologies. Dream Chip Technologies is a German engineering
company with a strong track record in System on Chip and embedded Software design.
The marketing model of Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) is very conservative. It
publishes nominal specifications for its devices ahead of time, with the caveat that these will
probably be at the low end, and that real-world performance will be even higher.

TITANIUM - 28 nm ASIC BITCOIN MINER 6 TH/s
€ 6.999,00. 35% Deposit - € 2.449,65.
Hashrate minimum guarantee 6 TH/s

TITANIUM - 28 nm ASIC BITCOIN MINER 3 TH/s
€ 3.999,00. 35% Deposit - € 1.399,65.
Hashrate minimum guarantee 6 TH/s

Shipments are planned to start in September of Year 2014.

Coumans saying that its Titanium ASICs Bitcoin miner 3 TH/s or 6 TH/s is a minimum figure of power.
He is also questioning the competition’s ability to deliver the performance promised with their
28nm boxes. "We are going to be better in four ways than the existing competition.
Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) will provide more performance for reasonable
prices, very good quality and we will actually deliver."

Fabrication and delivery of ASICs

The 28nm ASIC chips will be fabricated by Global Foundries in Dresden, Germany.
All components for our Bitcoin ASIC miners will be fabricated in German facilities.
This is the guarantee for a very good quality of our high performance Litecoin and Bitcoin ASIC miners.

Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) will be taking only 35 percent as a deposit
payment. There is no full payment for pre-orders needed. Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) will offer its own hosting service for their customers within the next two month.

Coumans suggests that Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) hosted operation will be a very good and cheap option considering the expected high electrical draw of the 6 TH/s ASIC Bitcoin miners.

Our shop at www.mining-asics-technologies.com will be soon open for pre-orders.

For the next days we will not take any orders and we are only registering enquiries from interested customers.

Please note: All specifications at the moment are pre-release and subject to change.

With kind Regards

Marc Coumans

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Mining ASICs Technologies is most likely SCAM!!! 6TH/s means 6000-7000 Watts. It can not be run at a household.
You would need to run it at a 40A breaker circuit. Households have 10A, 16A, 20A, and few have 1 breaker at 30A (meant for hair dryer).

I have a feeling most Scrypt ASIC miner announcements are scams, why dont more existing established Bitcoin ASIC makers like knc or butterfly labs announce a scrpty miner? im sure they have done the calculations and high hashing machines with cutting edge memory are not profitable and thats why they dont bother. thats my theory.

caveat emptor!

Doh if you read carefully you'd notice that their miner requires 6 psus rated at 1000watt.
So you only need 6 regular 10A plugs.

I apologize for the cross post, I figured hardware was a better spot for it and that's where it has seen more action.  How do we go about getting this closed?

Here's the longer thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=485237.msg5374505#msg5374505
